This is a terrible accident. A parents worst nightmare.  I can not, don't want to even, imagine what Todd and his family are going through right now. ; ;

How does anyone over come that? There are many stories of people backing up in their driveways killing small children not visible because they are sitting down on the driveway. At least there are back up camera which are going to be mandatory on all new vehcles soon.

Worst story I've heard about in a long time.     The grief must be overwhelming.

 

Ironically,  Heap has a charity that he set-up years ago when he was still playing.....

 

It's devoted entirely to children,   so you know where his heart is....

This one has to b among the worst- a just married couple was having the reception in her back yard. Her 3 yr old daughter from a previous marriage was run over by the groom in the driveway as he backed out on his way to buy something from the corner store. I wonder did their marriage survive that?

A similar story happened in Greenwood I don't know what happened after that with the mother though.

Terrible. I have a friend who's 4 yr old son was playing in his SUV, knocked it into gear then tried to jump out while it was rolling, fell under it, ended up mortally wounding him. My son is the same age, they used to play together. My condolences to the Heap family.....so awful.

I always liked Todd Heap as a TE for the Baltimore Ravens as a football fan too. Man, some wounds never heal & this tragedy sadly would qualify as 1 of those excruciatingly painful experiences. 

 

I wouldn't want any parent to endure this or the guilt that never goes away either. My deepest condolences to the Heap Family.

Man this is a terrible story! My condolences to Heap and his family. If that happened to me I am not sure I could live with myself, this is bad and sad.

Terrible story, I have 3 kids ages 3, 2, and 1 and you have to know where they are at all times.
