The Eagles are going to have two top ten picks.

Call me an optimist, call me crazy... but I really do believe that in 3 weeks time we will be 4-4 or at worst 3-5 and still in the division race.

This team is 3 or 4 plays going our way away from being 4-1 and not 1-4.

This isnt a bad team. We have had some bad plays and bad luck which lost us some key games which wouldve massively helped us (and the defense is choosing a poor time to play badly)... but i still believe this team isnt a bottom 10 team in the league.

Of course we'll wait and see, but right now, I have no problem with losing a number 1 based on the earlier returns.

Wentz is playing better than I though he would be and actually amazingly well given the injuries. He's also clearly a leader (sans the vax issue). A number 1 pick for a guy who could lead this team for another 5 plus years?  I'll take it.

I doubt we end up with a top 10 pick but even if we do who cares. Wentz has played like a franchise quarterback thus far so isnt that worth a top 10 pick? Hurtz looks terrible if his first read is not open he pulls it down and tries to run like its college.

This could very well in the long run be a big mistake by the Eagles letting Wentz go and investing in Hurtz.

Their own and Miami’s.  I don’t see ours being a top ten pick.  We are very close to being completely healthy.  I can actually see some games where we could have comfortable leads heading into the 4th quarter and we could sit Wentz to give Eason or Hundley some playing time.  No reason to leave Wentz out there in that situation.  Protect him from himself.  We know he won’t slide.  Here’s hoping we get rolling and we are actually in that situation to see what Reich would do under those circumstances.

Ok….   I’ll say it now….

Our pick will NOT be a top-10 selection.

I think it’s in the next 10, picks 11-20.

Disagree if you want, but at least I’m on the record.

I think you're about right. I wouldn't be suprirsed if we made the wildcard though. So i'm thinking a little closer to 20 or so.

Didn't the dolphins have like 20 first round picks recently? How did that work out.

They had 4 picks in the first 2 rounds this year.  5 in the first 2 rounds in 2020.  1 in the first 2 rounds in 2019.

Eagles fans will be sweating if we are on the verge of winning the division at 9-8 or making it in again at #7 seed. Got to beat the Titans the next time around though.

Yeah, I knew you were.   But it made me curious so I looked it up.   9 picks in the first 2  rounds is still allot of picks.

yeah it is for sure.

I don't know how you justify trading Minka Fitzpatrick and Tunsil.

The Steelers robbed them

Steelers got:

Fitzpatrick

4th round pick

7th round pick

Dolphins got:

1st round pick (late)

5th round pick

6th round pick

Miami did better with the Tunsil trade.

Texans got:

Laremy Tunsil

Kenny Stills

4th round pick

6th round pick

Dolphins got:

Two 1st round picks

2nd round pick

Johnson Bademosi

Julien Davenport

Can you tell us who the draft picks were too or is that asking too much?

Imagine how bad Ballard would be getting flamed if he drafted like that.

They are stockpiling picks to trade for Watson.

Not if the Panthers get him at the trade deadline (November 2nd), their patience with Sam Darnold is wearing thin, and am sure Texans would like to move forward earlier than the off season too.

Who has more draft capital?

Most likely the Eagles, if you are talking just 1 DRAFT.

It might be conditional though, over several years instead of all in 1 year if the Panthers do it before November 2nd though it is unlikely if things go south with Watson's cases. In the offseason, there is also a chance Watson's value goes way down with any NFL suspension or charges, and the Texans have to weigh if that is a chance they are willing to take.

Do it now, get 3 1st rounders over 3 years

OR do it in 2022 off season and 1 out of 2 outcomes - 3 first rounders in ONE draft or very little value.

I think that is what will go behind the Texans' reasoning.
