why so many CBs?

With the promotion of Killings, we’ve got seven on the active roster now, and only Hairston was listed as injured yesterday (and he was still a limited participant).  Just added Jalen Collins to the PS too.  Can’t help but wonder if there’s  a reason here...  We gonna healthy scratch Wilson and cut him if someone else steps up?

We've had so many health issues at corner. It doesn't surprise me at all.

Could be a sign but hopefully he steps it up.

Can some play safety? Hooker missing practice again this week with a hip. I think it's possible he may eventually be shut down if he can't overcome.

Ballard is a. closet horder

He especially likes CBs and TEs.  He cant help himself.

i had a tenant once that had a thing with canned vegetables.  I thought i had issues.  Ok, i still do but whatever.

Cause most of them suck....so they will keep rotating guys until they find someone that can hopefully be at least decent.

We're hoping if we combine the 7, it'll make 1 good cornerback.

The simplest answer is - we do not have solutions at the position on the roster now and we are trying out all kinds of different options to find good contributors - signing new players to the practice squad, working out players, etc. We are desperately seeking and trying to strike gold because the ones we have now are not cutting it or are injured.

What we lack in CBs (Cornerbacks), we can make up for in CBs (Chris Ballards)! Hit the phone books, and find the 5 best CBs (Chris Ballards) that are the most qualified candidates! We need CBs (Chris Ballards) to play CB!

Cover skills are important for corners and in our system, tackling is just as important. When you want corners that are not afraid to tackle, often, you end up with injured corners. So the more, the better. Keep that cupboard full.

Plus Wilson has bern playing a hybrid role too.....he's had snaps as a boundary corner and the last 4-5 games he's had snaps in the Geathers role.....

 

I still think he'd be a good corner BUT there were draftniks that suggested at his size/speed/willingness to tackle that he could switch to Safety in the NFL....

I thought this as well. I was wondering with Collins' size if he could play safety.
