RB Coach Off to Raiders

I understand that the new HC will bring in his own staff but would have at least liked to try and convince the good coaches to stick around a bit longer:

No.  They can sign new deals with other teams IF IF the Colts approve.  Meaning that Ballard is not standing in the way of these coaches to go elsewhere now if they want

Yeah, I don’t like this exodus of the position coaches. Why can’t they take OC Chud or DC Monachino instead, dammit!

These coaches are smart for taking the positions now. They don't know if the new HC will keep them or not.

I'm not sure if I ever saw any of our RB fumble under Singleton.

Good for him. Hard to contain a coach on the rise in a flux situation. We'll snag a guy of similar pedigree from someone else in the same way. Coach pilfering in the way of the NFL.

I'm sure Ballard told them to update their resumes because he can't guarantee that any of them will stick around with the new coach.  Hey, at least they can say that they weren't fired.

Its more about losing a good coach.

 

If we are, again, bringing a RB in from the draft, then a good RB coach could make a huge difference to the development of them and Mack.

I know, but we all knew this was coming one way or another.  I'm sure jack del Rio had some good coaches too, but sounds like most of them are getting replaced.

this is why Chuck should have been gone when Ballard came in (we are hiring the same coach we would have hired last year.  we are now a year behind schedule, thanks to Irsay and Ballard hanging on to the then Lame Duck Chuck.
