2017-2018 Indiana Pacers and Everything NBA Thread

A late congrats on breaking the Cavaliers win streak. That was SOME win. Lebron has been on fire lately too, that was a tough task......

Pacers are starting to get more attention btw even if you don't see it on media outlets nationally at times. I see Cavs and Celtics fans chat Pacers a lot actually now.

Pacers will climb up since the Pistons are falling now.

On a side note, there are side rumors that Gordon Hayward could return later this year but I am not sure I buy this just yet. It seems like his recovery is going so well but man oh man I want him 110% before he jumps back on that ankle again.

I see us in the Top 4 in the East if Dipo keeps playing like this and we play unselfish ball. Turner has All-Star written all over him too, he had 24 tonight and his fadeaway resembles Karl Malone's. Dipo is playing like a SuperStar and an unselfish one.

Celtics/Cavs/Raptors/Pacers I think you got in mind.

I didn't realize the Bucks were up there too. Greek Freak is well.........he's a freak to defend lol.

The East is fun this year.

The Pacers are a lot better than I thought they would be. I have to say they could even be dangerous in the Playoffs with the chemistry they have and Dipo playing like a SuperStar. Turner is very talented too. I think really only the Cavs and Celtics are clearly better in the East but we have beat the Cavs twice. They will get IT back soon though and they still have that machine in LeBron. If we played Toronto, Washington, or Bucks in a series, I would give us a 50/50 chance in those. I would give us a 60% chance vs Philly in a series. The Pistons are fading now like I thought they would.

Exactly I think those are the only 2 clearly better than us

If we beat them when they have IT, then I will really think we are capable of being a Title contender. We haven't done that yet. He is a Great player. I think as of now we are a Top 10 team though but not in that Top 5 with GS, Hous, Bos, Clev with IT, and Spurs. When Leonard comes back, Spurs will be the usual Spurs. I still think OKC is really dangerous too. I hope we can win that WEDS Night, it wont be easy.

This is unbelievable and our chemistry is perfect! Dipo is PG on steroids, Bogs knocking down 3's, Sabonis being a monster inside, Turner doing his thing, Lance getting everyone fired up making big plays, Thad getting physical! What else can I say! 16-11 speaks for itself.

I really liked Bogy signing. He's more than a 3pts shooter. He has a high bball IQ and is a well rounded player. He's a scorer with a good mid range game, and is sneaky Euro good in the post. He can finish with both hands around the basket and yes is deadly from deep.

This is the first place he's had the opportunity to show his game. He led all scorers at the Olympics with 25.3 ppg. He has a career high of 44 while with the Nets. The GR3 injury I think helped him providing the chance to get comfortable and opportunity to be more than a specialist.

He's thought of a defensive liability but that's not the case. It was his D that led to Dipo's big 3 vs the Bulls and again tonight when Denver went for the win  Bogy kept Barton in front of him forcing a fade away with a hand in the face.

If we get a big 3 type player at the SF spot we will be on track for title contenders

Bogdonavic is a much better defensive player than I heard he was...

Talk abut him was that he doesnt even try to play 'D' ...that's not the guy I'm seeing at all

I didn't see much of him outside of the playoffs last year in the NBA I remembered him from watching International ball. He was very good for Croatia I thought it strange it didn't translate more to the NBA. I wanted to see what he could do with us. Needless to say he has done very well with his opportunity.

I have always known him as a Great 3 point shooter but not much else. He does have a big physical body though where he can bang on D which I didnt realize.

You are right unfortunately, they always have. They loved the Knicks back in 94 and 95, Bulls in 98, and Heat in 2013. So hey we are the new Great Pacers of 2018 but it will be the same old bull haha

I'm sure lebron sneezed once tonight. That'll take up at least 30 minutes of sportscenter

I think its obvious that TJ Leaf wont be a factor this season....he just isn't strong enough

....all 3 of our draft choices were projects, really...

Abunoby is the guy I was hoping we'd take in the draft when he was there. Mainly because he was a Hoosier but he was good value. He was projected as a lottery pick before the injury. He's looking like a steal for the Raptors 51% fg 43% from deep we knew he could defend.

The draft was the low point of the offseason IMO. As you said Leaf needs to get stronger but he looks like he can score. I was hoping for a guy that could help now.  I don't think Sumner has a future the kid can't shoot. Hopefully Ike will develop.

I'm not complaining most rookies don't give you much anymore. The front office more then made up for it bringing in Dipo  Sabonis Bogy CoJo and DC.
