LeVeon Bell gave tips to Christian McCaffrey

Lol u guys are rediculous.

Mccaffreneys only weakness is he's doesnt run people over or break tackles.

Several things to ponder here

1) I am sure the board appreciates being called out by someone with such a poor grasp of the English language.  Me?  Personally I don't feel "rediculous."

2) You say his only weakness is 1 thing but then go on to list two weaknesses.  So which is it?

3) For a running back, isn't not being able to "run people over or break tackles" kind of a big deal for a running back?

Would this not tend to support the idea that he could be a better slot WR than RB?

McCaffrey could be an elite slot receiver. He could also be a pretty good RB with 10-12 carries and 4-6 catches per game. But, his frame won't hold up long-term in a Le'Veon Bell type role.

Yep...that's like saying he is a master chef but can only cook chicken and rice.....sure that's a tasty meal...but I don't think that qualifies them as a master chef....and I agree not being able to break tackles or run people over are pretty big qualifiers for an elite back. I like the kid..don't get me wrong and in an offense like Atlanta employed this year or in a WCO I can see his value catching out of the back field....but at somepoint you need to grind out those 3rd and 2s and moving the pile and breaking that first arm tackle is very important in this league.

I still think SF takes him top of the second or moves into the back end of the first by using some of those 11 draft picks that they have to get the kid. Perfect fit imo.

I would love him in Indy.  There is an absolute role for him in the league.  Wouldn't it be nice to have n RB in the mold of Faulk, Whitehead, White and others that the Pats have used extensively as a shifty, 3rd down back?  He has limitations to be sure but he will be effective in his defined role with whatever teams he goes to.

I think he`s a slightly more electric D. Woodhead type of back. He will excel as a 3rd down specialist and probably do quite a bit of returning. However, is that the type of player you draft in the 1st Rd.? I don`t think so! I`m a Mac fan, though.

McCaffrey is gone by our second pick.  But if all the better edge rushers, ILBs, and CBs are gone by then, maybe Curtis Samuel will be available.

Returner, 3rd down RB, backup WR.

Samuel would be an awesome weapon to have.

Sure...but at what cost....just think he is too rich for us (luxury with our roster). I'm honestly fine with Turbin as our #2. He had a nice explosion and caught the ball surprisingly well out of the backfield. I don't have much hope for this offense utilizing a guy like Mccaffery honestly though. I mean we have some game changing players like TY and Dorsett and we rarely try to do anything fancy to get them the ball in space. I fear we lack creativity...unless you count the fake punt....and if that's the case I don't want to see this staff be more creative.

hes the next Julian edleman, not leveon bell

their height and weight numbers are basically the same, and they play a similar style

They play a similar style,  except they don't play the same position.

Big difference.

Do you guys think McCaffrey could be the next LeVeon Bell? Just curious.

Christian has spoken very respectfully of his admiration for Bell.    They both have similar styles, despite their size differences.

They're both exceeding patient waiting for holes to come open.    That's not something that most RB's have as a gift.

Just because their size is different, doesn't mean they can't share certain similar traits.

If people would just both to....   you know --- READ THE ARTICLE --- you'll see that it was LeVeon who reached out to Christian via Twitter and they've become pals.  They exchange messages,  and the two even talk by phone.

So, for all the trashing of McCaffrey here,  you guys just look like such fools and tools.

Yeah, I agree and don't understand it. One thing folks fail to realize is that the NFL strength regimen can help you put on 10 more lbs of muscle compared to your college regimen and it will only help him in the long run. He just needs to be smart enough to not try too much with extra yardage because NFL Ds can be brutal on you and make you pay with hits or fumbles.

The best thing that can happen to him is he goes to the Packers that use hybrid RB/WR roles more with Cobb and Montgomery, IMO. Besides, having a QB and RB/WR that both have a chip on their shoulders for going late in the 1st round will only help the Packers. Going to the Broncos would actually put him at a disadvantage because his Dad played there on SB winning teams and the constant comparisons would not do him much good.

I could only imagine if Samuel had gotten to play against Pac-12 defenses all year. :Nuke:

You guys really underrate his between the tackles ability. His vision is elite and can explode through the hole. Is he a power back? No. Is he a pure receiving back? While he's better than great at it is disagree that that is what he purely is. I do beleive he plays very similar to bell. I wouldn't put bell in on a 3rd in short just like I wouldn't Mcaffrey.

I believe Edelman was a Quarterback in college.    He was NOT going to play QB in the NFL.

I don't think it was a surprise that he became a WR.

sigh he's not that small plenty of backs his size have done and are doing good is he a first round pick no..but he's a damn good back and you can't say he can't handle running between the tackles until he PLAYS you're just being judgemental
