Luck would have been made highest paid regardless in my opinion. Going to be quite a pretty penny after the 2015 super bowl win.

Nope, it may get set up so he can restructure and extend for cap purposes along the way but he won't take less than market imo

Seriously, this is ridiculous. Brady is one of the highest paid players, at the end of his career and isn't even the bread winner in his household.

Luck will get paid, and deserves it.

I think Luck will be smart about it. Does he deserve a very good contract you bet. It will be up to Irsay to decide what he wants to pay him. But Irsay isn't that dumb not to pay him either

Why would he? He could maybe structure his contract to help in the short term, but I can't blame a guy for wanting to get paid what he's worth.

Is going to be big and market value. Might as well accept it because the other option is letting him walk. He's not going to take significantly less because the players union would freak if he did. If he takes any kind of a discount it would be like taking $25 million a year if he can get $30 but even that's unlikely i think. This is Lucks first "major" payday to secure money for the rest of his life. I have zero problem with him asking for his market value just as 99.9% of players in the league do and most of us do when we look for jobs.

People forget that contracts are all about the guaranteed money. Andrew's gonna get plenty of it. With the way Grigs has been able to structure a lot of the deals he's done, I have no doubt that Lucks deal will be cap friendly.
