Lucks td pass falling down

Andrew > Andy.

Shut up, Troy Brown.

Probably would have had 500 yards by the end of 3 if not for the drops. Like I've been saying all year , give him time and you'll see all the accuracy you want. Looked to me like a threw a perfect strike or threw the ball away.

I might have missed one, but I don't think he had any real mistakes. Seemed like he always made the right decision. The near-pick by Adam Jones down near the goal line was a close one, but Jones didn't even get a finger on the ball. Tough to call it a drop, but that's another one Hilton probably could/should have caught.

Anyways, yeah, Luck was exceptional. Carried the team.

I would give Hilton a pass on that one but IMO he had 3 early drops. Fleener's ball was a drop too. It was already coming out as the defender got his hands in. So 4 drops .

I have a feeling Luck's performance today will quiet a lot of doubters.  It was great to see him have some time to throw today.  Let's hope we can give him that amount of time and limit the drops next week.

I regret to say I don't think today's effort will quiet his doubters at all.

What will is if is he plays this good and leads the team to a victory over better playoff opponents.

A win over Cincy is nice, but it's not that telling.    We were the favorites.

Now, we've got to beat teams like Denver,  and then New England.

Do THAT and THAT will quiet Andrew's critics..........

Agreed. But you can say that it helped to quiet down the critics. He had a wonderful game, in the playoffs, and with no turnovers. The turnovers is where he was criticized the most and Luck played very well.

Gotta be one of the best passes I've seen anyone throw. Wow

I agree. We were wondering how close he was to the line of scrimmage?

Is the rule that the BALL has to be released behind the line?

Must not have been too close, Cincy didn't challenge.

I think 15-20 years from now when we're all looking back at Luck's career, that pass will be among the many on his incredible high-light reel.

That was a tremendous play and throw!!:thmup:

In just 3 years Luck has put together an incredible highlight reel. Can you imagine what it will look like when his career's finished?

I think the rule is that his entire body has to be beyond the line of scrimmage in order for it to be a penalty.

They need to round up Troy Brown, Rodney Harrison, Deion Sanders, Michael Irvin and Phil Simms and ship them to an island without any way of communicating with others.

To me, it doesn't matter what people say. But if you're going to express stupid thoughts and then continue to double down on them, you make yourself subject to ridicule when you're proved wrong.

Nope. It happened earlier this year in a game in saw. The qb had a foot behind the line and that was the explanation as to why it wasn't called.

Thanks, so as long as he has some part of his body behind the line of scrimmage then its ok.

I think it will definitely quiet some of them -- not totally shut them up, but even Troy Brown tweeted "Luck has played a great game today" "Yes, he's outplayed Dalton" -- sure, they'll look for more reasons to criticize him if he plays poorly against Denver or anyone else in the playoffs, but for now everyone that was concerned about his turnovers etc. can quiet down a bit, he played terrific today (and his stat line would have been even better if our receivers didn't have butter fingers -- TY had what, 4 drops? Fleener had at 1 pretty bad one).

I think the biggest thing that helped Luck limit his turnovers was solid line play.  He got hit a few times, but for the most part he had good time to throw in the pocket.  Hopefully we keep that up, if we do, he should do just fine in Denver (and hopefully Balt. beats NE and we can play AFC Championship at home).

    • The Colts handed Taylor a boat load of money which is unheard for a running back in today’s NFL.  You don’t do that and take him off the field in crucial situations for Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson.  Shane has done just that in two of the last three games he’s coached.  Not playing maybe your best offensive weapon for a whole fourth quarter is criminal.  Shane is trying to be too cute and over thinking things trying to fool other teams and it’s not working in the slightest.  Play your best players at the most critical points of games.  That’s why you paid them.
    • People come up with the strangest over reactions ever when the Colts lose.
    • I agree 100 Ballard time is up , him and Bradley. You can preach accountability and retain Bradley another year….Ballard loves to say guys just need to hit the layup… he should take his own advice we all knew we needed help in the secondary this year no moves, we all knew we needed help last year at corner , oline year before. I talking about obvious weaknesses media calls him out on it year after year and he plays it off like he smarter than everyone then admit mistakes at the end of year and does the same thing. Bradley doesn’t make any adjustment like he runs what he runs and that it
    • To be honest this is malpractice by Ballard ….. like I know they think us fans are stupid but some of us played sports , coached sports , watched sports etc… we know what we are seeing like everyone knew we needed depth in the second. But Ballard doesn’t bring vets in and makes guys compete for a job he hands them to players he thinks are nice people a deserve a shot. Ala Pinter, NFL is a league where you get what you earn ,you eat what you kill , not what you deserve. Ballard need to take a hard look at him self at look at how other teams that win are built. We need speed at the corner position and a scheme shift. Like no HC under Ballard has been able to pick they DC he normally has one before they get hired and they retain Ballard guy
