At the bottom like 3/4 of the way down it has a comment with 1070 the fan reporting that Addai's chances of returning are slim. Also Peytons contract is expected to be done this weekend with a figure in the 20 mill range.

If this is true, Brown better not be our starter.

They let Hart go, which I thought was stupid.

This was stated by JMV on his show yesterday afteroon. However, Phillip B. Wilson in his IndyStar blog indicated that Addai's agent is talking to the Colts. http://blogs.indystar.com/philb/2011/07/28/all-quiet-on-colts-front-for-now/

Maybe Ronnie Brown instead of Addai?? Dont really see an upgrade from Brown to Addai unless he is cheaper.

Heard it last night, great news!!!

I would have been surprised had they not made every effort to keep him. Good thing he didn't get on Twitter and act a fool when we drafted Brown, like Bush did over the Ingram drafting.

Ummm, why? He is about as bad a running back as there is. There were some good free agents that can actually rush the ball, Cedric Benson, Reggie Bush, Ricky Williams, Ronnie Brown but no the Colts stick with this guy, brilliant! The Colts never do anything to add talent to the team, just pickup guys when half the team is benched with a headache!

Yeah, they suck. We probably won't be much better than we were the last couple years with players like that.

Let's see... SB, one bad TO call from going to the second round of the playoffs with 16 guys on IR. Yep. Horrible management.

Really? ummmmm this is why

1) we are a pass first type of offense, so it only makes sense to have the best blocking back in football

2) He is also an extremely good safety valve for Peyton as well being very solid in the receiving game.

3) He is a PROVEN 1000 yard running back his rookie year. What happens are his rookie year and the Colts win the SB? Tarik Glenn leaves and the line was never the same.

4) Because of the new additions to the offensive line and the release of Ryan Diem (those 5 yd false start penalties also kill the running game) the running game will pick up no matter who is back there.

5) The Colts got Addai for the right price because there was some other talent available in the market. The Addai won't make nearly as much money (or shouldn't) as opposed to Bradshaw or Benson. We simply could not be able to afford the other running backs you mentioned because we still have to worry about re-signing the two Johnsons and maybe DeVan.

6)the Colts always do things to bring in talent to the team. It's called draft picks and Undrafted free agents. We have never been very active at all in free agency. But I like our results because it has brought in Mathis, Freeney, Manning, Bracket, Bethea, Harrison, and Wayne to name a few all WITHOUT free agency. They key to remember is that it's just not as exciting for the casual football fan because it doesn't make headlines.

that's about all you need to know about bush right there. the last guy the colts had like that was vanderjagt, the self proclaimed "most accurate kicker to ever play the game"

This is up there with some of the dumbest written colt statements I have seen on this board ever. Very glad to have Joe Joe back incentives will make hm HUNGRY. Plus he might be one of the BEST blocking RB's in the game. I am kind of liking our new RB core. Also if you read all that gobbley goo I saw that we are going to release Diem. My prays have been answered.

Colts should have just let him go and give the reigns to Carter. Could have used that money to get a WR, DT, or S!!!! Addai isnt the runner they need, good at everything else but just an avg. runner. He doesn't even break a lot of tackles and runs out of control!!!!

Give the job to Carter who hasn't played a down in the NFL & is coming to camp late due to the lockout. BRILLIANT RUNS OUT OF CONTROL & DOESN'T BREAK TACKLES I GUESS WE WATCH A DIFFERENT GUY!!!!!!!!!!!!

lolololol!

He actually just said "There were some good free agents that can actually rush the ball" and then mentioned reggie freakin bush...

Addai's usefulness isn't in his running. It's in his ability to pass block, pick up blocks on the fly, catch out of the backfield, and get good YAC.

Of course you have no idea what any of that means because your obviously going off of what you think you've learned in Madden... If you were half as smart as you think you are you would understand that it doesn't matter if we had Jim Brown (Google him) and Emmit Smith (Google him, too) in the backfield, no one's going to run for a ton of yards behind our line.
