I know that was a highlight reel and they're not going to show his faults. But some of those catches were impressive.

I'm hoping he makes Jamie Dukes eat crow. IMHO, he's Reggie's successor.

You are so right .  For me it shows a very fast guy with some pretty good hands . I believe DHB got a bad rap playing with the Raiders from what I recall multiple coach's & QB's make it hard to shine I don't believe the setting & pressure of being a first round pick helped either ..

I believe being here in Indy is the best thing that could of happened for him the veteran leadership provided by Reggie Wayne & others on the Colts as well as being a part of a winning franchise not to mention 12 as his QB & a opportunity to 1 day raise a Lombardi is why he chose to become a Colt . IMO if DHB shows us BALLIN like in some of those highlights

Ol Jamie will be eatin crow .

Guys....Seriously after he fumbled the ball he began covering the ball with 2 hands as you should....BUT that is running through the hole. He was in the open field running with two hands trying to make juke moves with the the ball (it was bad).

However Ballad and Brown looked good!

Is it me or does Luck always struggle in practice? I still wonder if he has the arm to be a true great .Just sayin.

There's no pass rush. Im just basing it off the "up and down" thing I saw.

no one questions his arm strength. also, it's the first day of camp. 65% is pretty solid

65%, 2 TD, and 1 INT on the first day of camp? God, you better get your crap together Luck; otherwise, you're going to be an engineer sooner than you'd like  haha. Some of you guys need to chill, it's the first day of camp. He has all of camp and pre-season to get ready for the season.

When people are keeping and analyzing first day practice stats, you know the NFL rules all.

It was pretty funny, he didn't even know how to put on his helmet since he never wore one. I don't think he has a snowballs chance but I'm rooting for him. At least for the PS.

What is really like to know is what made the Colts pick him out of all the rugby players. I read he just got a call one day. You'd think one of the writers would have asked that.

I laughed when I read this....I was going to post the same thing :)

I want Adongo to succeed as well, but I want to put all of my energy possible toward our 251 pound military 'missile .'  I hope he shows the ferocity he did for the Cadets toward rushing the passer....love it!!! :td: :td: :blueshoe: :blueshoe:!!!!!

Practice....practice....practice!!!!

I guess some folks do not understand it is ALL about repetition and timing.  The first day for gosh sakes right?   :)

QBs throw it harder....softer....or just plain try to stick a nail in a pin-hole in practice.

I am with jvan on the arm as well.....we all saw Luck throw 65-70 yards against the wind in Palo Alto last year.  Lets not EVEN mention arm strength.  We are soooooo lucky to have number 12. :coltshelmet:  :coltshelmet:  :coltshelmet:  :coltslogo:  :coltslogo:  :coltslogo:  :colts:  :colts:  :colts: !!!!!!!!

Man, wish I lived in Indianapolis or close to it. I'd definitely be there at the camp.

:sigh: come on pre-season, I need you

Catch a flight young man!  I am 20 minutes from camp!  :)

I'm kind of torn when it comes to these drills. It's almost as though I need to force myself to look away.

Reason being, like yesterday for instance, I'm happy that our defensive backs managed to get some picks. On the other hand, I'm not happy that our QB's threw those picks. And then I'm happy that we threw for some scores, but not so happy that it was our defense that gave them up. haha

EDIT: But like Grigson and Pagano say - Metal shapes metal, men shape men...

The only downfall to TC is it means the end of summer break is at an end

We start school here in Princeton August 9

with McNary becoming active does that mean we have 91 on the roster

I counted a couple of times....my eyes hurt...and I still am not sure I counted right... :spit:

I counted 86 active....with McNary coming aboard for 87....and 3 on PUP:  Angerer, Bradshaw and Moala. (90)

Again...the old eyes might be wrong....:)

Boyett is "Active, Non Football Injury...."  'Had the injury prior to camp.'

Some guy posted a bunch of short vids on YT. Just search colts and filter to most recent. That TD pass to TY was sweet.

Any Ijalana sightings?

He survived day 1 and apparently is still walking, just consider that a step in the right direction.

To those of you who attended, how did our back-up quarterbacks look?

    • His big time throw ability,  touch and pocket  awareness. Also his off target  throw ability.  Schematically I think he could excel in Frank reich's  offense  and it would help limit his turnovers. He's  not afraid  to take a shot when it's  there and had much better anticipation  than Brissett.    The main thing is teams wouldn't  be able  to stack the box with Love because  they'd have to fear the deep game. Burrow,  and tua are similar.  Gordon and herbert  are seen more as check down guys. My co worker  is an Oregon  fan and he said he thought herbert was worse than Mariota. He said he played to safe and rarely  threw down the field.
    • Ok...   upon further reading I niw see that Bechton originally weighed in at 357.   And then today, before he worked out he tipped the scales at 364.  Up 7 pounds.   Seems this is the first year where you will be weighed TWICE at the combine.  Once when you arrive and then two days later on the day you’re tested.     First I’ve heard of this....
    • I'd love to keep Kenny, but I'm starting to think his 2018 was freak peak. After allowing a passer rating of only 73.3 in 2018, it went up to 102.6 in 2019. He ranked #1 in burn rate (elite) in 2018, and dropped to 44th last year. Either 2018 was a blip, or he took a year off after signing that contract lol.
    • One reason is, as you said, he’s too big. There aren’t very many guys who are that big who have panned out; only Ogden and McKinney come to mind. Then the frequency he gets beat while playing a very limited number of true pass blocking sets really scares me. Oline is notoriously hard to project from college to the pros with how college play so much run and shoot, uptempo offense.    I think he’ll be overdrafted like Greg Robinson just based on measurables. Not that he’ll go second overall like Robinson, but wherever he goes it just has all the makings of a bust. Thomas is so much better of a tackle prospect it’s not even funny but people are putting Becton ahead of him based entirely on size. Thomas has been starting for four years and has improved every year to the point of being elite, and has done it in an NFL style offense.
