Are you at all surprized that the Colts have decided to part ways with:

 

A.  DE Dwight Freeney

B.  WR Austin Collie

A. No, he was a square peg in a round hole. I wish nothing but the best unless he signe with NE.

 

B. No. I doubt he'll play again, huge shame.

No to both.  Freeney did not fit the new Defensive scheme.  Collie is a injury away from being out of football.

Freeney admitted he wasn`t what he was BEFORE the season started, so it was a JOKE they paid him $14Million just to appease the fan base.

We didn`t have to sign the likes of McGlynn, Satelle, Zib, Justice and have Olson on our Roster.

Thank Irsay`s PR move for that.

In the end, I think we are all pleasantly surprised with how it worked out and where we are at.

Not at all,  feel sure we all pretty well saw this coming.

 

Hope Freeney gets some worthwhile offers but sad to see him leave the Colts.

 

Hope Collie decides on a different careet choice for the sake of his long term health and family.

Not suprised by either move. I expected both to happen.

 

A. I'm saddened about Freeney because he was my favorite player. Had his jersey and just always enjoyed watching him play.

 

B. Collie needs to move on. The injuries just are not worth it IMO

No not really surprised about either, I wouldn't have been very surprised if the were retained either.

Not really. That doesn't mean that I like it, #93 is one of my all time favorite colts and Collie was a beast when healthy. However, Dwight doesn't fit here anymore and is on the downside of his career, and Austin can not stay on the field

nope good move though so we could invest in young sturdy players i wouldn't mind seeing Kruger here he's got a great motor and we got plenty wr's allthough collie was a playmaking machine he's too fragile.

Not really. It is never an easy decision to not renew a contract or rewrite a contract, but as long as the Colts organization continues to treat all it's players, coaches, & front office executives with class. I'm okay with it.

As others have said, Collie was a given, and there's no way the Colts pay Freeney what he's going to demand for as little production as he put up this past season.

A. No not at all, I think most of us would have been shocked if #93 had been offered a contract...

B. Not really, but It wouldn't have surprised me if the Colts had rolled the dice on a vet. min. contract... If he plays somewhere else, it probably won't be in our division at least...

I have lived in Indianapolis my whole life and nothing this team does surprises me anymore.

 

The oh sh%t.. I can't believe they cut him reaction passed years ago.
