I generally like your point of view on most things, but on this one, Stokley does not seem unreasonable.

Oh no dont get me wrong i like stokley, tbh id rather him than TJ, was just thinking the colts might as well be like the old times with harrison, stokely and wayne.

I personally don't think this seems serious at all. There was nothing there that suggested an injury or nagging condition. He was simply having it looked at. For all we know, he tweaked it a little while making a cut, or it was popping a little too much for his comfort when he stood up from a chair.

@Coltsman1788: People don't think we need insurance simply because they know the names of our first five guys. That must mean we're loaded, right? ;)

i jope collie is hurt not injured so we can sign moss or t.o it will be our last resort so we will have too....fingers are crossed

Hi Nate!

Not to derail but, I just looked at your profile and your rep is -12 '2nd string'. Not that this means anything of course, but, I've been laughing for at least 3 minutes. Why is that so funny?

I "jope" you don't think there is a difference between being hurt and being injured? Actually I heard that Collie has a class 3 boo boo. The trainers are applying several doses of wuv n kisseys.

Yet some think we don't need insurance at wide out.

I'll bite.

The most the Colts really have kept at WR is 5 players. If memory serves, last year they had 6 on the active roster when they added Taj Smith but that was in a ridiculous injury-riddled season. And his contribution was solely on special teams. In 2009, they opened the season with only 4 WR's.

A 5 WR corps of White, Collie, Wayne, Gonzo, & Garcon is deep. Among the deepest in the entire league. How do they make up a roster with those players and add the insurance you want?

To get to the 53 man roster, I am guessing a positional breakdown of:

3 QB

4 RB

3 TE

5 WR

9 OL

24

3 ST specialists

5 DE

5 DT

7 LB

9 DB

26

I suppose it is possible that they add a 6 WR instead of a another position, but they have traditionally not done that in the past. My best guess is the insurance you want will more than likely come at the expense of a player expected to make the WR roster.

I would guess we might do 2 QB's again.

Other than that, you laid it all out pretty well.

You should know by now then that pushing the logical argument with him isn't going to get you anywhere...... lol

Heard on JMV radio show that Austin Collie missed practice due to team doctors examining his knee.

Let us hope it is nothing serious.

Chad had that ion my earlier report on all that missed practice but only had 1 responce

No Biggie

also had this NUGGET

also

past reports have indicated that Bill Polian does not intend to use Ben Ijalana at guard,

Tom James of CBSSports.com Rapid Reports, learned that Caldwell is not opposed to the idea. Caldwell stated, “We have to look at our guys and figure out who are best five are to put out there on the field.”

You might have a flex position between WR, RB and DB for a return man.

    • Id like to see more QB designed runs and stuff with options to run or pass. However I don't half way blame them for pressing pocket passing either bc at some point you know JT is going to get hurt. Might as well let AR get his feel for the pocket early in the season. Say what you want but plenty of guys are open. He's just got to place and complete the pass properly. So far hasn't been happening but we will keep trying until things improve I guess
    • But I think Adebaware is a better 3T than him. He's getting better and better.
    • Do people really think his progression should be a graph line going steadily upward? Really? Seven games. It's going to be up and down. Two steps forward, one step back. Sometines, one step forward, three steps back. Especially for a guy who is about as raw as they come. Fans better expect it.
    • I’m glad our team didn’t have the bears body language. At least they were encouraging AR on his mistakes. Williams on the other seemed like he is already on the hot seat and teammates are getting tired of it.
    • I will say this. AR imo threw the ball much MUCH better in his 4 games last year compared to his first 3 this year.  Not even close.   I have to believe a lot of that is due to him being unable to practice much on his mechanics until August or so.  Remember even during spring practice he was complaining of a sore shoulder and had to take some time off.   I fully believe that once he is totally over his injury that he will be able to take the extra reps needed to get back into a way of throwing without having to think so much.   I play a sport at a highly competitive level, won't say which one, but I broke my thumb this spring and I just now am start to get back into the swing of things.  But I am not even close to where I was before I broke it.
