Which QB will sign this week?

With Kelly suspended, they need to sign a backup QB ASAP or make a trade. 

 

Who do you have? I don't see them signing him, but surely you bring in Kaepernick for a workout given the physical similarities with Jacoby?

Well, unfortunately I’m not in charge of any decisions made within the organization.  If I was, I’d definitely sign you to a 1 year, 1 million contract with 700k in guaranteed.

Lawrence is the only guy I would put any faith in. Honestly, I don't think Brissett has been given a fair opportunity. The incompetence at coaching that Brissett had to deal with in 17' was ridiculous. With Reich, and being the guy, I think he's going to be fine. They're are giving him a well built OL, plenty of weapons, and a very opportunistic defense. Let's let the kid go to work..

For the 2020 class, Fromm is my favorite QB. Obviously I would love having Trevor Lawrence but he's going #1 overall in the 2021 class.

I saw this mentioned in an article, but Bridgewater is the Saint’s backup right now. Do we consider trading for him to compete with JB? He only lost his job because of injury and he still plays like a starter imo. Of course, the Saints know our position now, and would probably want an arm and a leg for him. I’m lost right now

I think this is a fair question.  They might role with Walker as the number two for Brissett for two weeks but they better hope nothing happens to Brissett because Walker can not play in this league.

Picking up Kelly seems really good in hindsight now. On a more positive note, if Ballard and co pull off a playoff berth this season, we may have a decent staff on our hands lol

Brissett is the starter.

 

Walker is the back-up for the first two weeks.   

 

Kelly is the back-up from week three going forward.

 

Is it possible we claim someone at the cut-down deadline?     Yes,  quite possible.    If we do anything,  (and that's a BIG if!)  that's what I'd like for.
