"Alie-Cox averaged 7.7 points and 4.7 rebounds over his career as a power forward at VCU. Alie-Cox worked out for NFL scouts earlier in the month and, per Mike Garafolo of NFL Media, measured at 6-4.5 and 262 pounds with an 86 2/8 wingspan, a 11 1/8 hand measurement, a 35 7/8 arm measurement, a 4.75-second 40-yard dash, a 35.5-inch vertical leap, a 10.2-ft broad jump, a 4.45-second shuttle, and a 7.25-second 3-cone drill."

Just came across this, was listed taller than he was, but those numbers for drill work are decent to good for a tight end I would say!

Those arm measurements don't seem to jive with with the wingspan.  He is 6'4.5" with a 7'2"+ wingspan?

Wow.  How is it again that we know Ballard is different than Grigson?  Is it by signing unspecial veterans to fill the holes left by expiring contracts and retired/injured players...and non football players/projects.

Okay, now I get it, I guess.

Sorry, I don't agree.  We have Doyle and Swoope.  Williams is more of a glorified swing tackle.  Not exactly a very deep group.  We're not sure this guy makes the team or is destined for the PS.

If OJ is still there at 15, he has to be the BPA IMHO.

We agree that our TE squad aren't world

beaters but Ballard already stated that if

two BPA are available then he would

pick for the biggest need position.

There is going to be a ton of talent of varying

positions at pick 15 and this is why a TE

probably won't be picked in our first round.

We can find a decent TE in UDFA if he isn't

on the team already.

Yeah, Well Pollard and Gates were basketballs players before too.

Guys like Gates and Pollard show that it's possible to make the switch and have a great career, but having a coaching staff that has recently done it with Swoope should help in a quicker adjustment for Mo.

As someone posted earlier, anyone that watches college hoops knew Allie-Cox was an ideal candidate to become an NFL TE. He was very athletic and physical undersized college pf. His testing numbers are extremely impressive especially considering VCU season just ended on 3/16. So he had less than a month to prepare for these drills which he had probably never done before.  Other players had months to prepare for the combine and pro days.

His hand size and reach are ridiculous.

He had a legal issue a couple years ago, a girl accused him of hitting her. Video evidence showed he did not, and she issued an apology in court.

Garson Conley anybody? Stuff like that happens all the time.
