Will we carry 4RB's?

What's everyone's thoughts on this? I'm one of the ones who has high hopes for Ballard first up, and Robinson didn't look bad at all today. So we know Gore and Boom are our top 2. Then we have Ballard, Robinson, and maybe even Tipton fighting it out. So do we roll with 3 or 4? Robinson or Ballard or both? I wouldn't mind seeing Varga kept on the PS either btw.

I'm thinking we should do this if Ballard is healthy and comes back to form.  I would be fine with keeping 4 HBs and keeping Tipton and Varga on PS.

Trent Richardson might be a good FB once Oakland cuts him. His ability to seek out contact is remarkable.

Based on what I saw today I would say Gore, Boom, Robinson and Varga. Varga can play FB as well. Ballard will have to show something this preseason to stick around IMO.

i dont see the point in keeping 4, at least not with this personal group.  gore, herron and JR would give us a soild back field.  tipton isnt worth a roster spot and i doubt ballard is at this point either.

There is no way Ballard comes back to form. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't play all preseason. If you're expecting him to make the final roster I don't think you realize the toll that the injuries he has endured will have taken on his body. I would be all for carrying a Bryce Brown type as a 4th string RB.

I'd like to get a closer look at Abou Toure.  To me that kid was hitting those holes hard at the end, he's got a little more get up and go than Tipton does.  I think he could be Tipton out for at least the practice squad with a little more opportunity.

Ballard needs to play and be productive to have any chance at making the final 53. Josh Robinson's performance today is making it hard for me to believe that Ballard will make it.

No question about it. Now I know guys like Galea and Hodges have not made an impact either but they both have been at football for a few years, That's not to say Adongo wont get a spot but I think he really needs to show something in preseason to make the PS

We're actually going to have a run game this year. Gore's one of those special guys who doesn't really slow down with age. He'll rush for 1,000 again this year. Not much more than 1,000 thought since we'll obviously be a pass first offense. But yeah man Gore's gonna prove to be a great addition. Then we have Boom who was pretty good last year. Not a bad 1-2 punch man.
