Dustin 12,415 Posted April 30, 2015 It would depend on if they were good players.
HtownColt 2,940 Posted April 30, 2015 So adding 9 OL/DL players, no I wouldn't be ok with it because like 5 wouldn't have a chance to make the 53 if that happened
Gavin 7,030 Posted April 30, 2015 Of course not and Im not saying the OP thinks this but some of ya all need to come to grips with what Grigson said about drafting BPA, If that happens to be a Safety at some point then so bet it, If that happens to be a D Lineman at some point then so be it but Grigson himself says he is sticking to his board and they don't spend months making their board just to not stick to it
Bluefire4 2,175 Posted April 30, 2015 ..why? I know it "all starts in the trenches" but this is getting ridiculous.
Defjamz26 4,107 Posted April 30, 2015 I wouldn't. Most of those guys wouldn't even make the team in that case because there would be such a log jam at every positions.
Archer 1,086 Posted April 30, 2015 Not okay. I see one DL and one OT this year. And those are lesser needs than getting a safety and a CB, IMO. I'm going to go out on a limb and say we draft more DBs than OL and DL combined...
horseshoeblue22 112 Posted April 30, 2015 No, we need depth in the secondary almost as much as we need depth on the lines. Its been well documented that Grig wants a RB at some point in the draft. We also spent a lot of time scouting safeties. LB group could use some help as well.If we draft 5 rookie DLs and 4 rookie OLs, theres no way all 9 guys make the final roster. theanarchist 961 Posted April 30, 2015 Won't happen. Grigson already said that they'll stick to their board unless a player is screaming at them so I think we'll see a good mix of positions. DL and OL are strong in this draft so you can get value in the mid rounds.
1959Colts 2,216 Posted April 30, 2015 We need new ILBs
throwing BBZ 2,414 Posted April 30, 2015 Just drafting offensive and defensive lines this year.   I would rather draft NONE.There will be veterans available for D-Line depth.RT will be a need if Cherilus isn`t available and Mewhort just can`t play there. We should be decent at the other 4 positions.
Wesk7 53 Posted April 30, 2015 2 cbs, 2 safeties, 1 rb, and 1 ilb are needed. sso if we fill those holes we will have 3 other picks. maybe 2 dl ans 1 ol.
GwinnettColt 590 Posted April 30, 2015 Wouldn't mind a pass rusher OLB. Â
Hoosiernsavga 343 Posted April 30, 2015 I hope we draft 3 DBs. A SS, FS, and a CB.A RB late. Then I would be OK with the rest of the draft being DL and OL!
southwest1 12,212 Posted April 30, 2015 Just drafting offensive and defensive lines this year. While it's true that both lines are any area of need, it's never a good idea to go blindly into the draft focusing exclusively geared toward the lines even Dallas built or rebuilt their o-line over more than 1 draft.  Plus, we need another safety in the secondary. I view drafting like gradually adding pieces to a puzzle over time. You rarely put together a puzzle entirely during 1 session.  I want a wall of protection for Luck yes & I'm not opposed to adding a new linemen if he's quality & falls in the right spot for INDY to get, but as Irsay said "the draft dictates to you" not vice versa.
