Painter Or Tebow

Tebow has limited skill but has the x factor of being a leader of men.Painter has neither.I would rather have Gunner Kiel in there right now, this is the most pathetic display of offense I have ever seen.

Tebow, then we would have our entire backfield in one player and could play two more linemen.

Painter has far and away the better physical talent for a QB, but Tebow is a winner and that is all that matters.

I think Painter has better innate talent than Tebow. But, Painter isn't being put into a position where he can use those talents. When Reggie Wayne stated that Painter knew the offense better than Collins, he was probably right. The problem was, it was Peyton Manning's offense, not one designed for Painter.

What is missing (and others have shown this too) is that Tebow has a winning mentality. The Colts have become perfectly comfortable with losing, for whatever reason. In other words, it's expected of them. Winning is a "culture". Unfortunately, losing is a culture too.

Please. I've already detested the entire "Tebow phenomena" for years from 2,000+ miles away. He isn't an NFL QB, and he is annoying as sin to boot.

Steve Young said it very well recently. Tebow has had some mild success recently because they've put in place a ridiculous college system that plays to his limited abilities. He may win a couple of games until defenses adjust, but it is doing nothing to advance his abilities as a QB.

The thing is, he doesn't actually have any abilities as a QB. He shotputs the ball downfield like a musclebound but uncoordinated offensive lineman might. He should be playing tight end or fullback.

Painter has plenty of legitimate QB skills does - the fact that he appears to have lost his mind recently doesn't change that. PLEASE will someone put Tebow out of our misery. It's just ridiculous that he gets so much national attention for so little reason.

as expected most people said Tebow.

One thing these people refuse to realize is that Tebow wins because his team wants to win and plays hard for 60 mins. Tebow himself is one of the worst QB's in the history of the NFL.

Painter is a better QB than Tebow. Period.

Last season Tebow took over a 3-10 team, and went 2-1 in the last 3 games.

This season Tebow took over a 1-4 team, and has gone 3-1 since.

You all can't really believe that the spread option is a long term viable offense can you?

In a few weeks when some more film gets out on the Broncos they're going to start getting shut out. This is just like the wildcat. It took the league by storm for about 2/3 months because no one had any film on the single wing. But how many teams run the wildcat now?

It's a gimmick. And like all gimmicks, it's time will pass.

and you obviously have trouble reading or understanding the OP's question.

He said from talent perspective, not wins.

Tebow has 0 talent. None. He is not even close to Painter.

the OP said strictly from the talent perspective. Teebow played very poorly tonight, but his will to win and his team's will to win is what matters.

But as far as QB goes, Teebow is still bad.

Who has less talent is questionable. Did you see the game last week? Painter's accuracy was brutal. Tebow may have worse mechanics, but that doesn't mean he is less talented. Talent-wise, I think the edge goes to Tebow. Overall, the better QB is Tebow because he wins. As a team, the Broncos have way less talent than the Colts, but Tebow has led them to 4-1 in his last 5 starts while Painter has 0 wins as a starter.

Tebow also has a coach that is willing to adjust to his talents. They don't have him out there running the exact same offense as Kyle Orton was. Yet Caldwell & Clyde foolishly have Paitner trying to run Manning's offense that it has taken him 13 years to cultivate as opposed to installing a package that is better suited for Painter.

With that said, Tebow is far closer to Orton than Painter is to Manning, but the point is that this coaching staff, the worst in the NFL for that matter has failed each of the quarterbacks that we have put on the field this season.
