Robert Mathis End of Season Sack Predictions

He's having a great great season as we all know. 15.5 sacks (1st), 5 Forced fumbles (2nd), and 12 Tackles for loss (4th), and has been the anchor of the defense. 

 

With 15.5 sacks he has 4 games to get 7 sacks and tie Michael Strahan for most ever in a season. While I don't think he'll get the record, I think he'll come close. 

 

My prediction: 20.5 sacks 

 

Also, what do you think his chances at DPOY are?

I'll say 19 and no DPOY. He doesn't seem to be in many of the discussions for some reason. I'm so glad to see him perform without Freeney on the other side. He truly is a great pass rusher.

I think you can get sacks on KC and Jax.....I think he can get the record....

Don't know but he's .5 a sack away from tying both Freeney's Colts career record for sacks and Freeney's single season sack record.

all he needs to do is play consistent and hope one of those games he has a monster game. i can see it happening that way. so i say yes to both.

He has really shown this league that there was another great pass rusher on the Colts besides Freeney.

I think Mathis will be in the top 3 in voting, but I think Luke Kuechly will get it. The media and ESPN love that guy.

They won't give it out until it's a finished...butt it is time to look at the leaders week by week...I hope he gets it...Bob won it on a year he could have lost...
