Calling Mr. Rogers!

I admit I been up for the past two hours watching highlights of this guy and I can't believe he's on our roster and hasn't been given a chance yet (although I'm hoping that changes today at Arizona)

His measurable are freakishly insane.. Nearly 6'3 and close to 220 pounds. He has 4.4 speed and respectable route running and from I could tell his hands are way above DHB's ( but who isn't? I bet half of this forum can catch a better ball than Heyward Bey)

I've seen him catch balls where he was literally covered by the defender, so it appears he's not afraid to be hit either.)

Our offense seems to be a good place for him to get his career started. I wouldn't mind bringing him in slowly. Use him on a reverse or a screen pass.. Build his confidence up before letting him loose on the deeper routes.

I just want to see him get a fair shot. I think he could be very, very good especially with guys like (Luck,Wayne and Pagano) all inspiring him not only to be a better player but to be a better person overall.

Sorry for the rant, it's football Sunday and I'm hoping to see #16 listed in the stat column by the end of the game.

Its a beautiful day in the neighborhood......a beautiful day in the neighborhood....

Will 'Mr Rogers Neighborhood' be the end zone....or the bench...?

...I've never seen him.....and we may need him today...could be a high scoring game

40yd: 4.54 (19th) Vert: 39.5" (1st) Broad: 132" (1st) 3 Cone: 6.71 (1st) 20yd: 4.06 (1st) 60yd: 11.31 (1st)

I just saw this on Twitter. Those are his results from the combine compared to other WR's. Has so much talent, love that he's #1 in vert.

I don't gets how this doesn't excite some ppl we have a good chance to get a very good player for cheap and if our staff has helped him with his issues there is no reason he can't become our #1 WR

This much I agree with. I think it's important for him to get a few easy touches in order to build confidence (more for this forum than for his or the team's peace of mind, haha).

Honestly, this forum will explode with Rogers threads after this game either because he does well/great, or he does poorly/terribly. I'm holding opinion until he has a few games under his belt.

Hopefully he does really well.

GO COLTS! All day, every day!

Heck, trot the kid out there and let's see what he can do.  If he shows that he can run a route and can hold on to the ball he could be worth a roster spot.

Reggie's not coming back...we need another playmaker...maybe if he grabs one early....we wont immediately drop 10 points behind today...like we like to

Yep. College production vs. pretty good opponents. Check

Measureables/combine results. Check

Does he pass the eye test? Yes. Check.

Now he just needs to behave and he could be very good. Not gonna say #1 yet but he could be good behind TY this year and a good #3 next year.J

Just hoping he produces today. I'll be happy with about 40 or 50 yards.

Yeah the guy played in the SEC the most NFL ready conference and he was a monster so I'm excited that's for sure I just think he has more talent then TY he is also bigger which goes in his favor

Idc tho I want them to both be studs for us on The O lol

The way pep and our offensive game plans have started out and the ignorant way out coaches continue to force TRich as our starter despite "damn it Donald" great 5.9ypc avg, I won't be shocked to see a flea flicker, tossed back again to TRich and then having him throw a 70 yard pass to Rogers only to see it fall short around a 25 yard pass instead and then having the fans state how bad Rogers is cause he didn't catch it :)

I'm pumped to see this guy also. Never knew much about him, until I saw he was activated off of the practice squad and started seeing all of the excitement and posts about his great talent. Started digging around and really like what he brings to the team, talent wise. We really need someone who can take pressure off of TY. Fleener is starting to come around, but we need another big threat on the outside to really open things up. Anyone know where he is listed on the depth chart?

39.5 vertical is crazy. We should just throw jump balls to him all day and he'd be the next calvin johnson.

    • First Pacers game I have watched from beginning to end in at least 10 years.  I felt like they were exciting to watch.  They do get sloppy sometimes.   They move the ball well, lots of passing.   Boy they really let this one slip away.  As the coach defend against the inbound for a 3 pt shot and immediately foul.  Still hard to pull off, but you can't let them have that 3 pointer.   I still struggle to watch the NBA.  Traveling,  carrying,  pushing and shoving,  phantom foul calls.  Just weird to me.
    • She is doing just fine, through 5 games she is averaging 17 Points, 5 Assists, and 4 Rebounds and still hitting the 3 well. Problem is the Fever have a bad team right now. They will get another high draft pick next year which should help.    They could easily be 2-3, they have lost 2 games by 2 points. I am following it some
    • I don't fear having a young guy back there as long as he can play and he is on par athletically and intelligent. The system is made to play young guys early.
    • As we know, it’s the hardest position in team sports to master.  You not only have to know where your teammates are on the field, you also have to know where all the defenders are.  It’s 3-dimensional chess.    So, in the last week, two similar stories have come on my radar.   In one, the 49ers Brock Purdy is putting on weight.  And in the other, the Ravens Lamar Jackson says he’s taking weight off.   And I’m here to say I want both to succeed.   Purdy feels he needs more armour and Jackson feels he needs more mobility.     Whatever the reason,  I pull for guys who recognize everything revolves around them and are trying to get better for the good of the team.      Once upon a time I wasn’t a big fan of Geno Smith.  Now he’s figured things out and is doing well for the Seahawks.  So I hope he does well.   A long time ago I wasn’t a big fan of Randall Cunningham in Philly.   Then he reinvented himself in Minnesota and I was so happy for him.      Damn, the position is just soooo hard.  So if a guy figures it out, I root for them.  I think in all my years the one guy I didn’t pull for was Jay Cutler.  Miserable guy who always seemed to put himself before the team.  Yuk.   Thanks for indulging me….
    • Correct. It will have more to do with him putting faith in the current group and allowing them playing time.    It could backfire, for sure. But, I will say some of the best managers in the business put trust in their players to succeed.
