Ranking the Top 60 Inside LBs (yes it is Bleacher Report)

I gave up after seeing our guys at 37, 38, and 39. Did they do any research or were they too lazy and just grouped our players together.

That's what I said. They basically just gave all of ours the same score. Everyone knows defense has been a weak spot so they just seem to assume our LBs are the same, average players without doing much research.

I am wondering if Colts will consider him. He's just been released by the Raiders.

I hope not. He sucks and we probably don't have the cap space to waste money on him.

Raiders waived ILB Rolando McClain.

McClain is owed base salaries of $4.005 million (2013) and $5.805 million (2014), so it's a safe bet that he'll clear waivers. He will generate some interest once he hits the open market. McClain is a two-down inside linebacker with next to no coverage ability and has off-field issues, but he's a serviceable run defender and is only 23 years old. It's perhaps worth noting that new Browns GM Mike Lombardi -- an NFL Network analyst at the time -- compared McClain to former Giants great Pepper Johnson coming out of Alabama in 2010. Cleveland could use competition at the inside linebacker position next to D'Qwell Jackson.

All it takes for player is new place new start new coaching I wouldn't mind McClain or atleast give him a try nd pat had a big year before this and never got credit so think it's just colts defence players or just colts in general never get praise since peyton left.

Cause he's Darrius Hands of Bricks

That's cute.  From what I could see, Darrius is capable of making some big plays.  His QB play down there wasn't the greatest (not sure what the Cards see in him to be honest).

All that said, DHB is a much more dangerous player than TY.

DHB has greatly worked on his hands. When he entered the league, he was strictly a burner-- someone who only relied on his speed and marginal route running abilities to get open. Since then, he has improved on his route running, and most importantly, his ability to catch the ball.

In his rookie year, he had a staggering 35.7% drop rate. That insane!

However, the following year his drop rate decreased to 21.6%, and then down to 8.6% in his third year. Last year he had a drop rate of 12.8% when ideally you woud want for an NFL receiver to be under 10% drop rate. His reputation for dropping the ball was firmly established his first two years in the NFL and he's been working to remove that label ever since.

Here's the crazy thing-- he is replacing Donnie Avery who led the league in drops last year with a 16.7% drop rate, (also tied with T.Y. Hilton of the Colts). So the Colts actually get a bigger, faster, and more reliable replacement in DHB, and now have a more experienced T.Y. Hilton. This is a win, isn't it?

That 35.7 drop rate isn't that bad when you consider he was only thrown 15 catchable passes.

Freeman has been in the league 1 year and had a very good year.  That does not make him top 10 and I love him!  Pat Angerer had a great year before injury....looking to see if he can come back...still waiting to see if we ever use Kavell Conner where he can use his speed and pass rushing skills.....Conner is the best against the run we have.....37, 38, 39 with some of these other losers is laughable....love our LBs.....and some new ones this year too....

Yeah, you just lost all credibility with that statement.

Yes, because your talent evaluation is just sooo much better oh "forum" great one. If you watched him play and didn't just look at his stats you'd see what he can do. How he's being used in Oak is completely different than what he's used to playing and he still played well.

Yes he's played so well, thats why a team thats desperate for talent just released a 23 yr. old LBer that was only set to make 4 mil. this yr. and has all world talent couldn't wait to get rid of him and all the fans loved the fact that he's gone. :slaphead:

Why pick his contract up now when teams can wait for him to hit waivers and clear. Stupid business to take him now..

Just because a team waits don't mean they'll get him. He can choose any team that's willing to give him a chance. I'm saying that his salary is only 4 mil this yr.. For a 23 yr. old LBer that supposedly has such great talent, 4 mil. is nothing and a team that really wanted him would jump at the chance to get such a great young playmaker.
