Makes me think of the Jared jewelry ad where the guy is thinking about giving his girlfriend a glittery jersey and his buddies talk him out of it and convince him to buy her jewelry instead

But could she do it in "genuine 100% Acrylic.".

 

I seriously doubt that it's a "scam". I don't see pictures, just computer generated designs, so I imagine that this is a small manufacturer who outsources and they aren't in production yet.  $50 is obviously reasonable for a good piece of clothing, but it's hard to tell from that whether it's "good" or not.

My Mom used to knit virtually continuously as well. In fact if memory serves she made me a Colts sweater - I'm sure that I have it somewhere.

They appear to be Christmas sweaters. The company lining up production and wholesaling them NOW makes perfect sense. It's less clear why that particular retailer is pushing them.

I don't have any particular objection to them coming out in September.  They probably don't go into production until this summer and I pre-order things fairly frequently.  I won't be buying one because they wouldn't fit me, but I did see some other stuff to contemplate.
