I’m not saying I like sermon as a RB1.

But, as a backup, I think he’s really solid. Combine when he’s in the game.  I don’t worry about the position.

But maybe that’s just me…..

I think Goodson had more speed and just looks like he had a better burst. Sermon danced around too much and the hole closes.

Goodman is a smaller back.  He does have more speed and burst.   But Sherman can get between the tackles and still go outside from time to time.

I didn’t see this weeks game.  I’m in the IR with mild Covid.   But I’ve seen enough of Sermon in other games to like what he brings.   I like him as RB2.   Goodman can also be RB2, it just depends on the circumstance.

I prefer Goodson to Sermon.  However, it doesn't matter who is back there when Flacco is QB.  It will greatly hinder the running game.  Teams don't have to respect the possibility of Flacco keeping the ball and crash on the RB's.

The Colts have needed a bigger push-the-Pile back in what seems like forever. The contract would be worth it to keep that kind of mileage off Taylor. The team has had its struggles in the run game in short yardage, in the redzone, and lead blocking with TE's.

Yet, the team continues to sign a Hines type player in the name versatility. Besides how many QB sneaks is the team going let AR run; given he has not fared well with contact to this point. Colts could use someone in the mold of a Frank Gore type RB.i

I’d like them to bring up Pennix 6’2 230+ and has decent hands.

I was down on Sermon last year because he tried to run before the catch a couple times last year, and dropped easy catches.

This year he's caught everything so far, and fights for yards.

He ain't JT, but he's as good as anybody else we can trot out there so far.

    • Putting the injuries aside.   It didn't take nor does it ever take anyone with a common sense of football and good football play to understand that when your team has been a consistent middle of the road mediocre team or worse with the same aspect in their overall player quality and then the GM re-signs or gives extensions to those middle of the road mediocre players that produced those middle of the road results, what did everyone really expect to happen here? That they would magically get better?    It's one thing to want to retain your guys and if your guys are good or great then I totally agree. We all should. But when your guys are just a bunch of jags then you need better guys, not give jag guys contracts that some would argue are deemed for better players.   There are many on this forum that were happy when we signed all these jags and brought them back. Some of us were not.   Who is looking like the smart ones now?   Could it be the ones who always get chastised for being critical?
    • Im not sure what to make of the Seahawks, I think they can be a really good team but they’re constantly shooting themselves in the foot. Geno has been seeing ghosts tonight and I’m not sure when he started that bad habit.
    • 😀 Thanks!  First time for us at Nissan Stadium so we shall see.  I am actually hoping to see Treadwell elevated and playing.  He went to HS about 35 minutes from us and graduated a year before my son so we followed his career closely.
    • Not surprised.  That’s Rodgers team lol
