My head coach and others in the front office wanted Maye. I'm okay with McCarthy. I don't like flashy players. If he could be competent, I'm okay with him. I heard he was one of the best QBs on converting 3rd Downs. I love that. Move the chains!

I think of the options, Bowers is definitely who I'd want right now - I wouldn't melt down though if we went another route with all the defensive talent on the board still.

Did any other team try to move up to Jets pick to take JJ McCarthy? If so, they'd have given up more than Vikings. If not, Vikings could've picked JJ McCarthy at #11... So not sure about the reason to trade up 1 pick and give up 2 more draft picks in the process...
