Colts working out….

off topic but I see the Titans were looking into signing Martavious Bryant who's been away from the game on suspension but recently reinstated. Was a beast when he played. Always have us trouble. Watch the go and sign him.  If it wasn't for character concerns with him he'd be a solid fit here I think. Definitely a deep threat. If we work him out it wouldn't shock me if we signed. Very talented, but Character flags though.

I wonder how far Hamler is from being able to play.  He interests me much more than Watkins.

His issue seemed very serious so he may be a longer term prospect but Im also curious what he will bring once 100%.

Wouldnt mind seeing Winfree get an opportunity in preseason he produced time and again when his number was called.

Downs is probably out this week. I just heard it on the Bowen show. Regarding the Tackles, I have no idea what is going on there?

We’ve looked at OL nearly every week, I doubt there’s much consideration

Watkins needs to retire but I’d kick the tires if cheap

We were looking for a WR at the deadline.  That’s an indicator they would like to upgrade over what we already have at the position.

Probably because, when Freeland got hurt, just before the Panthers game, the Colts depth chart did not even list a backup Tackle. It looked like Hambright would fill that void (if need be), however, the team seems to view him as a guard.

I do not want us to sign Sammy Watkins. Over the horizon vet.

Agree wholeheartedly. Think about it as BAD as the Chiefs need a receiver they're not even fooling with Watkins who was there before. He was looking washed in the end and that was with Mahomes as his qb. @krunk suggested a possible look at Martavious Bryant who has been reinstated by the league. (substance abuse) Bryant will work out for the Cowboys today and the Titans tomorrow. He would be a nice pairing for either Lamb or Hopkins. The dude has talent and could be a low risk high reward type that's worth a flier on if not signed by either team.

Yeah he is definitely a guy that can take a top off a defense. Significantly better player than Pierce. And he played in an Air Coryal offense in Pitt. Would be easy to get rid of if he regressed behavior wise. I would take a good look if I was Ballard. But I'm sure he probably won't.

no thanks on both. Bryant fell off before the suspension. Bryant was as successful as he was because he was the opposite of the best WR in the league for his entire stint with Pittsburg.

Much rather just let pierce suck, or bench him for our depth chart.

other than that, please no 30+ vets.

Cowboys didn't let Bryant get out the building and signed him to the PS. By all reports he looked good physically, had nice catch radius and still had burst. Gives them a big receiver with speed.

yup. I think he will definitely help them. won't be on the PS for long. I don't care if he is 30, still worth a shot to me. even if we did get him with Minshew at QB it's not like it's putting us in the playoffs though. I do think he probably has another 1-3 good years left though.

If we're working out wide receivers - at least get someone with RECENT experience.

Sammy Watkins hasn't been relevant in quite a while.

I'd be happier bringing back someone who was with the team in training camp and/or the practice squad - at least they'd have a smidgen of recent work - and - knowledge of the current Colts system.

Oh yeah they already said he'll only be on their practice squad for a very short stint to get familiar with the offense because they have plans for Bryant to get many reps on game day to pair with Lamb... Oh well

    • The Cardinals didn't put up a fight against the Reds.
    • That weightlifting aged him pretty good as far as his back.  I wish him well post-surgery.  I think he's going to be feeling much better!!!  We need his leadership!!!
    • I doubt any of us here have spent more time studying the health issues of Latu than the Colts have.  If they are comfortable with it that’s good enough for me but that’s just me.
    • This makes me so happy. It's Karma for all the lies and deception the NFL has put out since recently. They supposedly care about player safety, so lets add a week to the regular season with plans to add more. All these international games where teams have to travel more and the fans get less home games. All the games now that are going to be on various streaming services off TV where people can't watch them with their family. The blatant terrible refereeing the last few years in order to rig games and expecting people not to notice. The Taylor Swift crap this last year where they sold their soul.   It's all about money. That's all the NFL cares about. We are trash to them. The players are trash to them unless they make the NFL money. I hope the NFL has to pay out $14B. This would be exactly what they deserve for ruining this sport to the point where it's almost unwatchable now.
    • This aged like fine wine. After this happened, I bet $1 on the Lakers to win the NBA Finals next year. Get $31 dollars if they do. I'm buying into the conspiracy theory that the league will give it to Lebron and Bronny. Also think the Lakers will make a move or two in FA.
