  1. 1. Are you rooting for the Colts to win or to tank?

    • Win, of course.
    • Lose (Tank). I want the Colts to maximize their chances of drafting any player we want, maybe Marvin's son.
    • I don't care. I am here for the entertainment.
  2. 2. Last week, the Colts scored a whopping 38 points against the formerly vaunted Browns defense! How many points will they score in this game?

    • 13 or less
    • 14 to 26
    • 27 to 37
    • 38 or more.
      0
  3. 3. Who wins this game?

    • The Saints
    • The Colts
    • This game will end in a tie.
      0
  4. 4. Bonus Question: Would you like the Colts to make any trades before the trade deadline?

Crap, really. I had Stroud as front runner for MVP. I actually seen it lmao , Stroud also only had 140 yards and no TD's before someone tries and say it wasn't his fault.

Yeah, he had a bad game.  Future looks bright overall for the AFC South though  .

We were not really suppose to win much this year

false expections often lead to disappointment

That's true.  I think we will still win more games than predicted.  That being said, Ballard has not been a great GM.  People used to blame it on Luck retiring, but his retirement just showed his much Luck actually covered up our weak spots.  That being said, Ballard won't be going anywhere after this year.  They have an injured QB and will still win more games than expected.

Well folks, we are 3-5. This is looking bleak. I had us winning 8 games this year, that looked good early but now maybe not. At least they beat us fair and square. No Ref blaming from me this week. The turning point was the INT by Mustache when we were down 21-20. If we even get 3 on that, it is a different game.

I had us winning 7.  I still think we win 7.  Who knows though.  Hopefully we don't totally collapse.

okay maybe fire gus, but then what? it's the same players.

randmom stat - we started off better last year at 3-3-1

we started tanking at 3-3-1

will we start tanking now that we are 3-5?

we need weapons and corners  and better defensive ends .    we cant be built like 1980s teams this team has talent but not in premium spots .  lets draft marvin harrison jr  load up on corners and draft another edge rusher .   one good draft can turn the entire team around

It’s possible.  The offense is actually scoring points.

We drafted three corners last spring.

Just when Cousins was playing great, he gets hurt. Non-contact injury. May be out for the season. :(

Our backup QB is injured too.

I would love to have Marvin but I think he goes top 3. We would have to lose the rest of our games and I don't see that. I am drafting a Corner, King and Lassiter both are great. We need to draft 1 of those. Both are projected mid-1st.

So they just persistently suck?   I guess I’ll go watch Jacksonville then.

Hire a better GM and coaches.

Very possible this team ends 3-14

Ouch, I did not see that. Man this whole season is being ruined by QB's getting injured. I wish AR didn't get injured, I think with him at worse we would be 4-4 and no offense towards the Stache because he is a great backup, but he isn't AR.

People are complaining about the qb play, but you can’t expect a starting, let alone a back up qb, to score 30+ points a game to get wins. The defense has been awful! There have been injuries/suspension, but all teams have them. Playing zone on short yardage is too easy to find a quick open spot. Having week cb and not giving help or blitzing to make the qb uneasy are coaching issues.

I don't think we need to fire anyone right now.

We lost:

  • Starting CB Rodgers to an indefinite suspension.
  • Starting CB Flowers to a season-ending injury.
  • Starting CB Brents to a week to week injury.
  • Starting NT Stewart for 6 games due to PEDs.

That's a LOT of injuries in the secondary and once you get down to your CB3 and practice-squad guys, it'll usually be pretty ugly. When we had Stewart playing, our run defense was better and when Flowers and Brents were out there, our pass defense was solid. Jones has been really good for a rookie CB and I think him and Brents are our future starting CBs.

Most of us knew expectations for this team weren't going to be high this season with a rookie HC, rookie QB, and a young defensive secondary. When healthy, we have a pretty talented young roster. I'm not optimistic for this season, but I don't believe Ballard made moves with us being in contention in mind, but to set this team up to be really good in the next year or 2.

    • Never underestimate the role of the practice squad for preparing the team for an upcoming game. This give developmental players the opportunity to think like the opponent and learn the nuances of the game.
    • Everyone is bunched up at the bottom:   Brewers 49-34 Cardinals 42-40 Pirates 39-43 Reds 39-44 Cubs 39-45
    • My concerns are less with the players than integrating the way the players we have with the strategies and tactics from some of our coaching - especially on defense. There are no perfect football teams, but you can develop strategies to beat any football team if your are smart enough and creative enough. This brings me to my concern: Are some of the coaches we have too dogmatic in doing things the way they've always been done? I guess we'll find out in a couple of months.
    • Wepner had a strong chin, he was a good fighter.
    • My 2 cents, 4 counting inflation, on the O-Line...    While I agree with @CR91 regarding injury issues, I also agree with @NewColtsFan that the line is above average. Talk about straddling the fence, lol!  They both make valid points though.   LT: Raimann got a late start in college football due to mandatory military service in Austria. He played his first two seasons as a Tight End before being converted into a Tackle. So he was late in the game at LT coming out of college, 25 at the start of his rookie season. That could be either good or bad, meaning he has room to grow or he may be at his ceiling. I am of the belief he has room to ascend and will.   LG: Q isn't the player that the Colts drafted due to injuries, though he seemed to turn the corner last year. I am of the belief that he will continue to ascend to near All Pro status, though it is tempered.   C; Kelly bounced back last year from injuries, family issues, and concussions(yes, they could be considered injuries). I am of the belief that he will be one of the better Centers in the game this year, though Bortolini may be waiting in the wings.   RG: Fries is considered the "weak link" but played reasonably well last year. Another ascending year is very possible and most likely will price him out of the Colts plans in 2025, especially with Concalves and Bortolini as possible replacements.   RT: Smith showed a warriors heart playing injured last year and hopefully his offseason surgery corrected the issue. He has a 19+ million dollar cap hit next year, so there is extra incentive for him to perform to it and hopefully an extension.   Bench: Concalves and Bortolini come in with solid press clippings, and the ability to play more than one position, but have to show it at the pro level, I believe they will. Freeland was shown the baptism by fire treatment and had mixed results. Let's hope he learned from his mistakes and worked on his strength, as the Swing Tackle spot is up for grabs. I don't rule out a veteran FA to take that spot though, plus Witt is a relative unknown quantity due to missing his rookie campaign.    In conclusion, I could see a very good and deep Offensive Line, though injury and experience concerns are definitely something to be aware of.
