Offense is awful. Pittman and Woods had good games. Pearce has vanished. Campbell did not get much action. Offensive line sucked in 1st half was a bit better in 2nd half but not by much. Ryan is old ad the offense line cannot pass block.Teams  no we have no vertical game so they play our receivers tight. Taylor was running the ball fairly well but when you are playing from behind he is less a factor.  The offense needs  a big overhaul on the line, QB and we need another receiving option since I am not sure Campbell will be back and I am not sure if Pearce is going to take the next step.

Defense gave up big chunks of yards on the ground. I would say the defense was gassed tonight

reich was 3-2-1 with ryan and taylor both healthy .   jeff so far is 1-2   i love jeff as a player but there is a reason guys arent hired off the couch to be a head coach .    people have convinced themselves a 40-33 coach with 5 different starting QBs  is bad .   those same people believe jeff who has proven nothing is better than 20 years experience from frank .

This isn’t a Saturday issue either. It’s all about talent. That’s on Ballard. And I will add irsay for forcing a QB WHAT change when there was only a downgrade.

The problem with Frank was that he lost the team. Pretty simple at that point.

Jeff isn’t getting the job. It’s interim. Someone else is coming and they are ripping this % up. Just watch.

All you Reich haters you can see this wasn’t a Reich issue.

No, this is the proof that it was. The reich holdovers using the reich playbook can’t even fix it. We need to get diarrhea and rid our system of the whole system and it’s parts.

We should play Sam, we may win our last 5 games with him, Pickett may win MVPHomer Simpson GIF

i agree with you i am just pointing out it wasnt franks fault .   its dumb to argue jeff who has no experience is a better head coach than frank who has one losing season with 5 starting QBs .

We were with Reich too lol.

no we were not. did you watch the NE game? or the Jax game?

there are multiple games where the team Frank coached looked completley outmatched. we have not seen that with Jeff as HC yet

you lose the team more when you hire a guy with no experience to come out from espn .   i bet players were mad  and checkout even more . nick hinted towards that when talking to the vets after the eagles game .   we will see we have nothing left but playoff teams on the schedule besides the last game against houston .  it could get ugly

This is the nfl, you can play your * off for an entire game but when it comes to crunch time the refs will dictate the outcome. No roughing the punter, no pass interference on the 4th down play. But, then again, I predicted this game almost perfectly. I mentioned dropped passes, fumbles and absolutely ridiculous officiating as the reasons for the loss tonight. But, to be fair, why were our safeties playing so deep tonight against a rookie qb? Why don't our corners ever attack the ball they just give big cushion after big cushion?? It all added up to yet another huge win for those of us who like to bet against the Irsays when they are playing the Rooney's regardless of how bad the Rooney's team is!

I agree to disgaree.

Let us hold off on that assessment till we see how we fare vs the Cowboys and Vikings. If we keep those games within 1 score, I can tell you that Jeff Saturday is definitely better. But so far, more promising than with Reich.

its still unrealistic to expect a QB in his first two games to be great .

No one EXPECTS him to be great after two games but Sam's ceiling is low! Just because Ballard picked him (when most passed) doesn't mean all of a sudden that he's going to turn into a franchise qb. Sam has limitations that will keep him from being a special type. That Patriot game ALONE sent Sam back to the bench. If you believe in Saturday respect his choice. I said if they wanted a higher pick then stick with Sam.

And my perspective has always been that Saturday would be honest with Irsay about what is going on on the inside. That is what he was brought in for.

the NE game shouldnt count at all a QB in his second game with no taylor going against a billichick defense that is top 3 and elite .  i doubt sam looks better with jeff .    the jags game ill give you but its such a small sample size from jeff we could get one of those terrible games against the vikings or cowboys .

to me it always looked like a talent issue the line is just getting beat one on one all year subpar QB play and wrs not getting great separation .   i dont think any coach is doing much with this offense .

That isn’t what has happened.

I really wanna hear Ballard blame the media for not fielding a competent Oline

I want to hear him explain why we have a 7th rounder at RG, and a developmental rookie LT.

I then want to hear why he thought that would work with an immobile QB.

Then I want someone to ask him what happened to 8 starters on the Dline.

I want to hear him explain why Ben Banago, Kemoko Turay, and Lewis all underachieved?

After that, I want someone to ask him why he didn't sign a blocking TE?

When he blames it on the media, I want someone else to ask him  why there is no DT depth, and we have another random guy filling in at DT?

I want someone to ask him if Cowart is better than Joseph, or Suh.

And finally, I want someone to ask him why he signed Matt Pryor.

I guess you forgot about the Pats game in which he looked like he didn't belong in the league as noted by many in the national media! I watched Sam in college and he was nothing special ESPECIALLY against the better schools. Too many limitations. Many thought he would go UNDRAFTED but Ballard saw the "sauce" in him!  Not his fault put that and the MANY other offensive flaws on Ballard.

I did,  apparently I tried to scrub that game from my memory, Lol, my bad. Fixed it.

Still, two games especially without his top running back to take pressure off of him and an Oline that was in shambles, just doesn’t seem like enough time to see what we have in him. I didn’t follow him religiously but thought he did pretty decent in college, obviously the national media disagrees.

Steelers getting calls is nothing new though. 1995 AFCCG, 2005 season Bettis SB etc.

1995 Kordell Stewart out of bounds back in for illegal td is one many fans will never forget. It helped usher back instant replay as the wrong team advanced because of it.

Sure thing Mrs. Taylor.

First of all, thanks for the lessons and gender studies. Ryan has one job and it  is to get the ball into Taylor’s hands. If you watch that play, Ryan lost focus and that’s why the ball never got to where it’s  supposed to be. Good night Miss Taylor

Don't get me wrong Sam's a good kid by ALL accounts and will give his all but unfortunately it's just not good enough at this level to get this team to SB contention.

That's the WHOLE point EVERYTHING around Sam has to be perfect in order for him to succeed. The special ones like a Manning or Luck can come into dumpster fires and give you a shot. I just used those two because they were Colts but I can name many more. Until we go out and get one of those young DYNAMIC qbs this team will be stuck in mud.

That is the league now and Ballard has done this team a grave disservice by building the offense the way he has. The qb position is not plug and play. Sam can helm a limited offense but is that good enough? If mediocrity is the goal then yes.
