Really liking some of the names that are popping up. Glad to see they had a workout with Jean-Baptiste and like the attention to Markelle Martin. I watched several OSU games this year scouting Weeden and Blackmon and was impressed with Martin as well. He was always around the ball and looked to be a leader/mentor to the younger guys in the secondary. :)

I looked at the intangibles for Stephen Baker. He is 6'8. Holy cow.

Freeney and Mathis will be sure to say hi to him underneath, if drafted. All day baby, all day!!! :) :)

That is one thing I am looking forward to if they put Nate Solder as LT for Brady.

Yep, I must have gotten my 6s and 9s swapped when I read it in haste :) :)

lol..yeah I figured it was something simple like that. You've done a great job of keeping this info up to date and organized and I for one would like to thank you for that. I can't wait for the draft to get here. I do hate how it'll be spread over 3 days though. I think 2 days is more than enough...have rounds 1-3 on day 1 and rounds 4-7 on day 2. I don't see any reason to have a separate day just for round 1 but oh well. Well, when I say I don't see any reason that's from a fan's standpoint. Clearly it's about money. :)

To make it interesting, NFL Network should have Matt Millen throw darts on a draft board with holes and make his prediction before every pick. That would be entertainment for me (maybe not for him)!!! :) :)

Millen would never do anything like that. You never know, he may one day get back into the front office of some NFL team and there's no way he'd give away his draft day processes. :)

What strategy??? He threw darts and picked them that way anyway!!! :)

No Millen residue with the Lions except for Megatron, Backus and Cherilus from 8 years of drafting.

Raiola also, right?

By the way, whose projections are those above? Yours, or concensus from around the Internet?

Dan got those from the internet, it is mainly his :), I am just playing along. I am sure there is always a huge range sometimes.

Number of sources - checked a couple of big boards, a mock draft or two, a couple of draft guides I own, and combined the consensus there with a bit of my own knowledge, there's a large range so with some it's quite difficult, they're not to be taken too seriously :)

Aaron Wilson

Also In Baltimore Ravens

  • Midwestern State offensive guard Amini Silatolu visited or had private workouts with 20 NFL teams, including the Kansas City Chiefs, Cincinnati Bengals, Dallas Cowboys, St. Louis Rams, Pittsburgh Steelers, Detroit Lions, Cleveland Browns, Indianapolis Colts and the Carolina Panthers, according to a league source.

I see Silatolu as a 3rd

Yes, he could go in the 3rd but a lot of playoff teams like the Steelers, Pats, Ravens would all be interested in him, so late 2nd seems to be the average across mocks. Even A.J.Smith said that everyone is looking for the next Larry Allen (former OG of Cowboys' dynasty) and this guy reminds a lot of GMs about Larry Allen, who also came from a division II school.

I updated the thread with a couple of those names mentioned above. Also, I put in their consensus draft position in parenthesis (from WalterFootball.com) when I could find it.

Lol, height is tangible.

This thread is older than Diversity - 'an old, old wooden ship that was used during the civil war era.'

Therefore, I vote to unpin this thread.
