If Ballard and Reich think Eason is the future I would totally be on board with this. Would love getting a Carl Lawson at DE in free agency and a Christian Darrisaw at LT in round 1. Then our QB has great protection for years to come. And we have better pass rush from our edge position.

Call me a degenerate * gambler if you will, but I’d roll the dice on Trubisky for a season. Just to see. The more I see of Matt Nagy the more I feel like he’s just not equipped for his job. I’m definitely glad he chose not to interview with us before going to Chicago. I’m willing to take a chance that most of what is wrong with Trubisky comes from the sidelines and not actually him as a player. He’s shown some nice flashes. 
 

Not really sure I can say even that much for Nagy. :dunno:

All of those who have offered to the Eagles have lowballed them.. They all know not to pay 2 firsts. You cant tell me they are going to change their mind in a couple days and pay 2 firsts. I know you might not want Wentz but dont try to sell me on nonsense.

As a Stanford guy, I should share that I live Solomon the person.   But I don’t think he’s had a single good year yet in the NFL.   
 

I think he might be on par with Muhammad, but not as good as Autry.   He’s sub-6’3” and roughly 270-280.    So he can play some DE and some 3-tech.   While that versatility is a plus, I’m not sure he plays either spot at a real high level.

 

Compounding matters...   I believe he suffered a torn Achilles.   So, he’s going to need a full medical report to be considered.

Brees restructured basically to save the Saints. Dropped his salary to league vet minimum to get them out of a negative cap to give them somewhere around (just off the top of my head) 20 million. 
 

Had he not done that his salary would have been on the books through free agency and the draft both which would have tied their hands in a knot.

that said, there is plenty of reason to give credence to the Eagles wanting more than they are getting offered. This has dragged out enough to prove that

Yep the longer they wait the less they see goinf to get because teams will go get other options. If no one has changed their minds yet no one will.

He got them to -$76m(negative) cap bases of $180m projection.
