The mock draft doesn't start till March 23rd. Here are the rules @csmopar who is our commish, posted, from Page 1:

This is probably a bit early, but I'm really looking forward to doing this year's Gavin Mock Draft. So we'll get sign ups going.

I'll be the commish again. Because of that, I will not be selecting a team this year. I want to focus on the commish thing. I found last year, it was tough to juggle that.  So all 32 teams are up for grabs, first one to call it, gets it. Any whining about someone else beating you to choosing, and you'll  be out of participating this year.

First round will start March 23rd. This will allow MOST of FA to be completed and probably most trades.

Will run with last year's rules with some tweaks. 3 hour clock time.  Email picks to commish (me) a head of time, minimum of top 3 choices(can be position or BPA) if not able to be online. If no pick is sent at the end of 3 hours, top ranked player remaining using Walter football will be selected.  This will be BPA at a listed position of need for a team. If a pick list is sent in, we will give you 1 hour to make that pick before going to your list.

Operating on a 2 strike rule. You can miss one pick without issue, miss a 2nd pick without first sending a list, the team will go to "autodraft" from that point forward with the above BPA at position of need being selected unless a different GM wishes to take over.

Same rules, trades are allowed using this year's picks only.  ALL trades after both teams have agreed to one, MUST be submitted  via Private Message and APPROVED by either the commissioner (@csmopar) or one of the co-comissioners.  Again, BOTH team GMs MUST submit a PM to the commissioners in order for the trade to be approved. If you do not, the trade will not be approved.   The approving commissioner will be the  ONLY one to announce the trade on the thread. This is to help eliminate confusion and ensure accuracy as some trades happened and weren't caught and led to some confusion in later rounds.

Clock time will be 3 hours, Draft times daily are 8 am to 10pm, no picks will be made outside these hours.

FYI, as long as the internet is still functioning, we will carry on with the Mock draft this year, as scheduled, regardless of what happens to the actual, real life NFL Draft.

We are scheduled to start round 1 on March 23rd, 1 week from today. I will be posting the round 1 thread on the 22nd. No selections can be made prior to 8 am EST on March 23rd. If you cannot be online, please try to pm me a list of your wants in order of preference. You can do that anytime between the 20th and your pick time.

I would like to have a co-commish, @chad72 or @NFLfan either of you want the job?  I know you two helped last year and did fantastic, as did @WarGhost21 and whoever else I'm forgetting.

Hope everyone is well. Are we starting the Gavin Mock Draft tomorrow? Will there be a new thread?

Well crap, the one year I get the Colts they trade my pick haha

Perhaps you can trade into the first round?? The Vikings have two first round picks and have lots of needs. There are a few other teams with multiple 1st round picks.

Hi, I wanted to participate in Live Mock Draft this year since following here last year after getting to know from @NFLfan, but didn't realize teams got picked much earlier in February. I'd be ready to pitch in if anyone is unavailable. Otherwise, I will just silently follow, cheerlead and add an international audience here. Good Luck, everyone. :applause:

You're going to have to help me out with the Vikings. Let me know.
