Maybe, but he has been pretty poor the last week or two.  I mean he did just recover from a broken hand so I understand that, but also defenses are absolutely gearing to the run since JB couldnt hit a barn with a beach ball lately.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t honestly. If I had to bet I’d say yes, but he hasn’t hit 40 yards in the last two games. Teams are keying in on the run more than ever and while I’m sure Mack really wants to get there, I’m hoping we won’t try to force it with tons of carries. Just for his own sake.

We've been going away from the run lately so it's possible that he doesn't hit 1,000 yards. So we will see.

Yes, and he should hit 1000 on Sunday. Carolina is the 3rd worst rushing D in the league. 

 

If Reich pulls a "Miami" and decides to throw it all over the place vs a bad rush D, I'm giving up on Reich, and Mack should pop him in the nose.

I hope he does.  Not only is 1,000 yards the milestone he's been trying for in order to settle everyone down to believe that he's a qualified starter in the league, but I bet there's also a bonus in his contract if he reaches it.

i dont think there is, he is on a 4th round rookie contract still.  he will probably get a raise next year and he does seem like a good candidate for an incentive like that
