Vonte Davis cleared to play again...

Recommended Posts

To be honest, I think Quincy Wilson (towards the season) played as well as Vontae played 2 years ago.

Why go backwards now?

Wilson, Melvin, Hairston, a couple of free agent additions (along with a draft pick and a few UDFA's) should be good for us.

Assuming we bring Melvin back.... And Ballard wants to be the GM who keeps his own so Melvin returning is likely.

You actually think he would come back here? Lol. Not a chance.

His best days are behind him and the guy cannot stay healthy.

Someone may overpay him on a short deal, but I can't see him getting much on the open market.

Best of luck to Davis though. I miss watching him play when he was healthy and locked in.

Vontae was a lockdown corner that year (I believe this is the year you're talking about)

I like Wilson but that year was special

I am quite aware of how well Vontae played 2 years ago. Which is why I made the statement to begin with.

I'm meaning that Quincy was nowhere near that level of play this year

I made the comment a few times (towards the end of last season) that having Wilson on the field was very similar to having Vontae on the field a couple years back. He did not give up much.

Wilson is a baller. If he matures then he can be a special player.

Couldn’t have said it better.
