And once again, when the defense needs to rise to an occasion, they instead wilt. :(

This loss is on the offense and Chud/Pagano's questionable play calls at the end of regulation and in OT.  With about 50 seconds  left in regulation and the ball already in field goal position with a chance to win...they go ultra conservative and don't gain any additional yards to help Vinny out.  In OT...with 4 minutes left.  They start passing and not running clock which resulted in the Colts giving the Bills back the ball with 2 and half minutes left.  More than enough time for a scrub Joe Nobody QB to move his team down the field and beat the Colts...in the snow no less.

What a surprise.  7 points isn't going to cut it. Deplorable offensive performance.

Brissett is bad.  Chud has no clue.   Belicheck new what he was doing.  Watch Dorsett get hot and help them win another SB.

As it turned out, our QB was Jacoby Nobody.

Yeah , after a few games it always comes out why some of these guys are backups .  The next time Brissett does anything to help this team win in the second half will be the first .

Meh, they played hard for the most part (with the exception of two complete collapses of the defense).  This would have been an easy game to pack it in and just quit.  I will give them some credit for having heart.

I expect them to lose, but not look like incompetent losers while doing it.

McCoy ran at will. The D did pack it up and quit.

Firing Pagano is treating his utter incompetence with too much respect. They should have security escort him out of the stadium. Then start waiving players who don’t want to play. Pagano has infected this team with a losing attitude and allowing the source of the infection to stay is the wrong thing  to do.. I’d be happy to seee the entire offense waived other than Gore. Let him go and find a team that deserves his effort and talent. First offensive player to be waived should be Hilton. He doesn’t try.

Thing to remember though is each play cycle was eating about 25 to 30 seconds. That leaves 20 seconds to get personnel out and clear out all that snow. That’s why we took an additional timeout to clear out.

Agreed it it would’ve been nice to get him about 5 yards closer but he kicked it different than the last time (meaning his kick moved differently).

I won't fret over his play in a snow game too much.  Still...I'm not too impressed with Brissett.  He seems to have plateaued already...not really getting any better.

Agreed. Worth keeping around until we get someone better or get a good trade.

That's a good point.  It just looked and felt like we could have managed that situation a little better than we did.  Might have cost us a W.

The most ridiculous post I have read in a long time.  Correction.  In the last half hour.

Isn't our schedule weaker then SF

Unintended consequence of us losing games and SF winning games is that it makes SF's schedule weaker and ours stronger :D

Honestly this is probably the first time in a very very long time I can recall the Colts playing in a foot of snow. I chalk it up to coaches being overly cautious. Frustrating but given the circumstances understandable.

I don't really think we would get much for him in a trade at this point.  I agree he is better than anything else we have for right now.

Make no mistake, I am not arguing that Pagano should stay.  Only that I do give these guys some credit for having heart and not packing it in.  Unfortunately, in this league, talent and physical ability trump heart, though.

All of your offensive observatios are valid, but yet ... And once again, when the defense needs to rise to an occasion, they instead wilt. :(

people worry too much about where we pick in the draft

our draft classes haven't even done much recently, including ballards

When was the last time we picked top 5? Oh I remember it was 2012 and our class was awesome that year

I’ve been saying it for a while, don’t be surprised if Pagano stays. GM has been saying this is a rebuild. No franchise QB. I could see them using this as a benchmark and once Luck comes back seeing if he improves the numbers.

We got 2 top talents in one draft and if grigson wasn't stupid and took 2 TEs we prolly get 3 top players

Our QB stinks too.

With exception of the jags game he actually has played pretty good for us wasn't that bad today either the weather was horrible up there so it will cause a few passes to be overthrown because the wind wasn't good this loss is on Adam two missed field goals.

I'm not saying that he won't.  It's not my decision.  I am only saying that I am not arguing that he should stay.  If it were my decision, he would be gone.  I don't get to see the internal operations of the Colts the way that Irsay and Ballard do, though.

Oh I know you weren’t saying that. I was merely commenting that I think he’s probably gonna stick around st least one more year.

I am not a Colts fan or a Buffalo fan. I am a Green Bay fan.  But, as a fan of football, I cannot stand biased officiating. The Colts 2  point conversion was legit. The flag was thrown AFTER the successful conversion, not when the supposed "penalty" took place. IT was like the ref waited to see what happened before he threw the flag.  I cannot stand biased refs! They should have an independent review of all "late flags." Biased refs are ruining this game.

Way too early to grade Ballards first draft class. Its promising though.

Hello. Very happy to be here.

Care to refute with any well thought out arguments that counter my above statements or are you just here to spread your infinite wisdom on us lowly Colts fans?

i just think if grigson were still here and had that same exact draft class more people would be criticizing  it by now

    • I hope he can last till the Colts pick.
    • The more I consider it, the more concerned I get.  When I look at the first year statistical comparisons that I posted earlier, Mitchell looks a whole lot more like Phillip Dorsett than he does anyone else.   Mitchell - 13 games | 7 starts | 20 catches on 45 targets (44.4%) | 254 yds | 0 TD's | 19.5 yds/game Downs - 17 games | 9 starts | 68 catches on 98 targets (69.4%) | 771 yds | 2 TD's | 45.4 yds/game Pittman - 13 games | 8 starts | 40 catches on 51 targets (65.6%) | 503 yds | 1 TD | 38.7 yds/game Moncrief - 16 games | 2 starts | 32 catches on 49 targets (65.3%) | 444 yds | 3 TD's | 27.8 yds/game Hilton - 15 games | 1 start | 50 catches on 90 targets (55.6%) | 861 yds | 7 TD's | 57.4 yds/game Dorsett - 11 games | 0 starts | 18 catches on 39 targets (46.2%) | 225 yds | 1 TD | 20.5 yds/game Wayne - 13 games | 9 starts | 27 catches on 49 targets (55.1%) | 345 yds | 0 TD's | 26.5 yds/game
    • As we go through our discussions and observations for Richardson, we've mostly used two quarterbacks as comparison:  Josh Allen (for his early inaccuracy, strong arm, and ability to run) and Cam Newton (for his imposing physicality and strong arm). There's one other quarterback that I feel needs to be in the conversation: Justin Fields Through his career in Chicago, he was a phenomenon running the ball.  He ran for over 1100 yards in 2022!  But he had a lot less success throwing the ball.  So much so that the team finally decided to move on from him after only 3 seasons. I'm not saying "Richardson is exactly like Fields".  But I am saying that the comparison has merit, and bears watching.
    • I implore you to go back and watch the tape from his first 2 seasons. His accuracy was woeful.
    • Nice. I’ve heard people say they think he’s a 1st round caliber corner. I hope he goes to the Senior Bowl.
