I hope that team is kinda snake bitten but I like a lot of their guys. It's a young young team....can they beat Brady and Belicheck? Yikes I don't know.

It's a dome game.  Their speed will be very hard for New England's mediocre defense to contain

The Five yard illegal contact is routinely forgotten about with New England.

I'm really Salty.. but you guys noticed how WIIIIDE open the Patriots WR's are when they catch the ball? How easy is this for them??

It helps when you face a trash defense

I hope you right, I don't like either the Pats or Steelers. Matty Ice is likeable and they have never won a SB.

Shannahan will have to do some different things in my opinion...give bill two weeks to prepare and he will find a way to slow down that offense. I'm not sure Atlanta can get at Tom and slow those receivers. Pittsburgh I think Atlanta eats alive but New England is so seasoned tough to beat. I'd do a lot of stuff with those rbs on their LBs. Do to them what NE does with Lewis. Heck I may even put both Freeman AND Coleman in the back field together...motion them in and out have a threat for either to run really get creative.

Falcons wont beat the Pats IMO, but I also said Bama wouldn't beat Clemson. Having said that I don't see the Falcons beating the Pats in the SB. Brady will probably get Ring #5.

Why do you say that?

If Logan Ryan gets to free agency this offseason and New England is spending all their money keeping Hightower and some others I'd like to have him opposite Davis...always impressed with him. Covers really good and tackles very well for his size. Then maybe get a nice young corner in rd two to bring along maybe be our third corner.

Reminds me of guy avoiding the spotlight, I hate to say that. Very disappointing. He isn't a big time player and LT wasn't either. When the Playoffs rolled around LT disappeared. Emmitt Smith is laughing at both those wimps.

I agree.  Potentially your last game of the year.  You suck it up and get out there unless the docs have a leash on you

I did not see what happened. I was not home. What reason was given for his not being in the game?

Because it's the Patriots where goofy things always happen. Like tonight for example, James has a TD gets stopped at the inch line and they cant even score. Because Brady has been to 100 SB's it seems and Matt Ryan hasn't been in any. Watch, the Pats will get every borderline break in that game that will result in some sort of 7-10 point swing. They do it against everyone except the Giants or against Peyton.

    • "I (nobody) don't have any idea how this stuff will play out".  "We got lucky".   It means what it means.   Jesus, get off of it.  I'm not a Grigson fan and never was.  I was called that by people, unlike Chris and me, who don't understand how this stuff works.  I'm not the guy who calls for firing the GM.  I know the next guy might not have any better success.     I guess a person who doesn't hate someone's job performance relative to what they think the next guy will do, seems like a fan to others who base their hate for the GM on misplaced opinion that this stuff is about genius and clairvoyance.        Finally, after about 6 or 7 drafts did it sink with many that the next GM isn't always that much better.  The new guy doesn't have gobs more special knowledge or talent that anybody else in that profession has.
    • Yes.  Its amazing that anybody would think of the draft working any other way.  Its even lucky to be sitting with the first pick when a generational QB declares for the NFL draft.  Or unlucky...like Pitt...when you need a QB and the best option coming out that year is Kenny Pickett.   Polian used to say...even when picking late in the first round..."the draft fell exactly the way we expected it to".  Always bluster, IMO.   Its like Poker.  You can strategize all you want, but if the cards fall against you, you are not going to win.  Nobody ever won a Table without luck working in their favor.  Its about experience and luck.  Genius or clairvoyance isn't part of it.  IMO.
    • That same argument can be made about any draft picks. From the 1st guy off the board to the last. Even UDFA, for example look at Jeff Saturday.    there is a degree of luck to the draft. Absolutely. But there is also some skill involved and picking up on what traits increases the odds of the luck falling into your favor. Doesn’t mean it will of course.
    • It’s entirely possible that they have offers out to those guys and they’re just not signing yet hoping for camp injuries that will give the player more leverage for more money
