Same thing was said with Big Ben...... What happened?

Yes there are bad teams, but we're average. Did we not just struggle with the Skins today? The Jags in the first half last week?

Average at best.

We struggled with the Redskins today?  49-27?

I'm pretty sure my grandmother is running free in their secondary right now.

I'm sure there are a lot of actually average teams in the NFL right now that would like to be 8-4 with a 2-game lead in the division.

If this is average, give me this, at the minimum, every year.

The defense is inconsistent but the pass rush is improving.  We blitzed less today and still had 6 sacks.   Had Vontae not been knocked out of the game, the Washington point total would've been lower.  Gordy got picked on.

The offensive statistics establish that the Colts' offense is far from average.  In fact, it is one of the best offenses in the NFL.

You act like we're a dominant team. Average at best. And possible it may snow in Cleveland..... How do we fair in the cold weather?

We are above average. We aren't elite of course, but I don't think we are just average.

I hear they are bringing us a great big "Thank You" card and giving it to Grigs on the 50 yard line at halftime for the T-Rich trade

I would really love it if Trent had an awesome game.  He has his issues, but seriously the interior line doesn't help his cause one bit.  I am disappointed in his play but people should get off his back.  He is great at pass blocking...

Look, I supported the guy until I was blue in the face on here. Enough is enough. Boom ran just fine yesterday behind the same line. Ahmad before that, Donald Brown before that, yada yada yada

It hurts to admit it, but he is terrible and I have given up on him

A couple of scary things.

1. If Davis doesn't clear concussion protocol we're gonna be trying to cover Josh Gordon with either Toler or Gordy.  YIKES

2. There is not much tape of Johnny Manziel at the NFL level.  That puts us at a disadvantage in terms of preparation.

Given what we've seen from Manziel, I believe there isn't much to worry about if he's under center. Sure, he might have a career day, but guess what? He probably won't.

I guess you were shaking in your boots when Whitehurst and Bortles strolled into town too? Newsflash, bruh. There are some bad teams in this league and there are some bad players in this league.

Cleveland is 7-5 and play in the toughest division in football this year.  Whitehorse and Bortles don't have RBs to rely upon, don't have a good OL, and they don't have Josh Gordon at WR.  We are going on the road where it will be cold.  Running the football and stopping the run will matter.  Depending upon the weather, Luck may not be able to sling the ball all over the field.  Plus the Browns are pretty good in the Secondary.  This is not a gimme by any stretch.  The OL needs to have its best run blocking game.  The DL has to take-away the run game and the LBs have to get to Manziel.

I was only talking about Manziel. I'm not worried about him any more than I would have been about Hoyer.

I know Cleveland have a good team and I know it's a road game.

You guys really gotta stop shrugging off teams. We have no film on Johnny. He's a wild card. Stop taking it for granted. He could easily have a career day or stink it up.

But just automatically assuming he won't get the job done is a stretch. We're no dominant team

You're wrong. Players don't have career games against this years colts. I got second opinions from these dudes to prove you wrong;

Julius thomas

Darren sproles

Arian foster

Ben roethlisberger

Jonas gray

Colt McCoy

    • Notices of posts on this thread kept popping up. I knew there was no way the conversation was still about TB and the roast…. so I literally just hopped in here to see where the conversation veered off to. Wow, what a tangent!  Might be one of the best I’ve seen on the forum
    • We’ve had many long time posters who’ve gone MIA…    I’d like to imagine he retired from many years of teaching and is enjoying the quiet life on a beach somewhere.    @southwest1 always posted interesting topics as well that I miss reading.
    • Does anybody know what happened to or became of Princeton? I used to enjoy his "everything will be alright" comment.
    • Wilt dominated Bill Russell when they played, what Boston fans don't comprehend for some reason is, the Celtics had all the best players on their team other than players like West, Baylor, and Robertson. Outside of that the league had a bunch of MEH players back then except on Boston. Boston had Cousy, Havlicek, Sam Jones, Tom Heinsohn, and KC Jones besides Russell. Russell could get away with playing a bad game on occasion because Havlicek or Sam Jones or even Heinsohn could go for 25 and they would still win. Cousy wasn't a great shooter but was a great Assist guy and would just run that team like a great QB does.   Bill Simmons has Bill Russell as the 2nd greatest player ever, that is what ruins his list and I agree with a lot of his rankings. Loved his book and love his knowledge on ranking players but his Russell ranking is simply because he is from Boston. No way in hell is Bill Russell the 2nd greatest player of all-time. He had too many offensive deficiencies to be that. To me Larry Bird was the better player compared to Bill Russell.    Simmons top 10 updated: 1. Michael Jordan 2. Bill Russell 3. LeBron James 4. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar 5. Magic Johnson 6. Larry Bird 7. Wilt Chamberlain  8. Tim Duncan 9. Kobe Bryant  10. Jerry West   Mine is: 1. Michael Jordan (we agree)   2. Magic Johnson   3. LeBron James (we agree)   4. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (we agree)   5. Kobe Bryant   6. Larry Bird (we agree)   7. Wilt Chamberlain (we agree)   8. Steph Curry - Bill has Curry 15th.   9. Shaq O'Neal - Bill has Shaq 13th.   10. Bill Russell - yes, he makes my top 10, great defensive player, great rebounder, a good scorer but not a dominant scorer and a winner. His 11 championships can be viewed in a lot of different ways compared to how players won theirs in the 80's-up until now. 11 is 11 though so a top 10 list without him would not like right.   He had West and Duncan in his top 10 - I don't. I have Shaq and Curry instead. To me Shaq was more dominant at his peak than Duncan was, and Curry changed the game with his 3-point shooting. Shaq is the only player in NBA history other than Michael Jordan to win 3 straight Finals MVP's (2000-2002), he has to be top 10. I never thought I would see a better shooter than Reggie Miller, then Steph entered the building. Steph also does have 4 championships, a Finals MVP, and 2 League MVP's + he has the most 3 pointers made in NBA history.
