Jax is not built for a comeback

Sorry if I induce any PTSD flashbacks in anyone here, but... Cecil Shorts.

This could be one of those methodical 34-10 butt whippings.

Long way to go, but as Colts fans, we have to like what we see so far.

it could be even worse

Time for Bortles?

As a fan of underdogs and feeling bad for fans whose teams have been bad for a long time, yes.  As a Colts fan, no

I called out our TE's and demanded they find a way to get open. They have done that on almost every play, whether Luck sees them or not.

This is exactly how I expected us to start!  Use the pass to set up the run and spread the wealth everywhere.  Mix it up and keep the ball moving.

No vision. :sarcasm:

The next chapter will include the hilarity of watching so called experts (including fans) do a 180 on Trent Richardson.

2013: No veesion. No Weeggul.

2014: He learnt to see - Day got him sum glassers. Day put him on da juicers.

More play action.

I also should have started the Colts D in fantasy...

Got Houston against Giants for one of my teams and the other one is Indy.  Always take the defense that is playing Jacksonville if you can.

At least until they start going towards Bortles.

    • Yeah...there is good dialogue and debate here. Over there...not really...the mere critique of JB or Ballard will get you downvoted into oblivion.
    • I think if the Texans lose any other games (in addition to the NE game)...and the Colts run the table...the Colts will have the tiebreaker...either through division record or common games. But barring that...the Colts will be playing for the WC.
    • You don't spare resources for a QB IMO. If you love a player and think he can be your franchise QB, you trade up to get him. I don't know if Ballard loves any of the QBs, I don't know if he's watching them even right now, but yeah... this is my position - we have some good picks in excess of our own to use to trade up. Go get the QB you love.
    • I'm not a proponent that Hooker is an elite all around FS.  His eliteness is simply one dimensional, which isn't enough to warrant a huge capital investment, IMO.   But in his defense, it seemed to me the scheme being played did not have him always covering the deep ball.  The first TD looks like it may have been a whiff, it happens, but the other times it looked like there was no intention to give the CB over the top FS help.  Which is a scheme problem.      On the first TD, it looks like Hooker was supposed to turn and run with Hopkins, which is a recognition problem and a man-coverage issue (he's a deep ball hawk, not a skilled man-coverer.)   If Hooker was truly out of position on those deep throws, it was really, really, bad play because he was not even in the picture and in no position to contest the long completion.   Overall, I think the corners had decent coverage.  I think the safety play and/or scheme let them down.
