I stayed up for this crap!!!!!!!! You guys should hang your heads. they made you look like a freakin high school team out there!!!!  all the pre game hype about Luck.  what a joke. I hope Irsay reads this string and then has something to tweet about. (something that is intelligent---maybe an apology to us Colts fans)

Chargers win 19-10, nail on the coffin against the Colts with that late game INT!!! A lot of bad breaks on the Colts tonight. In front of Chuck's, and his brother John's father.

give it a rest. He did what most coaches would do in those situations. He didn't drop everything thrown his way. He didn't commit big penalties on third down all night long

seriously? most coaches? any winning coaches would have went for it if their defense was giving up everything.  You can wish what you want, but your wrong so you drop it

But I honestly think the refs never called hardly anything on the chargers.  Everything they called was on us.  Pitiful refs tonite.

Totally agree, but Indy played horribly.

Oh well. No one died. It was a loss. Next week should still be a good game. You can bet the Colts will bring their best next week. That said...I hope we don't see the Chargers for a loooonggg time

We flat out stunk tonight. We got manhandled all night. It was a fist fight and we showed up wearing a dress.

no I'm not. You can't go for it from your own twenty with five minutes left and only down one score

And it's always some unknown Charger that plays big against us...Allen tonight, Volek in 2007. Ugh

Colts lose. Dropped passes, bad defense, and control of the clock is what did us in tonight. Stay safe. We need to get healthy... and get ready for next Sunday.

Go Colts. Adam Vinatieri gets the game ball.

I don't think there was that much time left?  Only 3 something if i remember correctly?

With 5 left i may agree with you, but i don't think there was that much time which is why

i thought we should go for it.

you can when your defense has not stopped the other team all night.  How many of their drives were over 5 minutes? Even the offense wasn't sure what they were doing.  that is another sign of his indecisiveness.  and the fact that they had a good chance to score again with little time left that would put them up by 2 scores.  you have to take a page out of the pats playbook and go for it then.  put it on you offense to win the game

reasons we lost:

- five significant drops (DHB, Fleener, Hilton, Wayne, Richardson)

- outcoached on both sides of the ball

- defense couldn't get off the field

we lost again a very winnable game, maybe we bounce back big like we did after the dolphins game?

Chargers put a Hex on the Colts years ago. I really could care if the Colts ever play them again, especially in the playoffs.

Just an over all bad performance top to bottom on both sides of the ball. Regardless, coaching staff will work to fix it and this loss did not hurt us in the standings

yes, they gambled and lost. but they gambled. although they had the lead at the time so it was a slightly different situation

they put themselves in a situation they could control to try to win the game. they had trouble with manning all night and knew the offense was the best shot for a W

Well said....just as we physically beat the 49ers down, we were physically beaten down tonight.

For a young team like ours...let it serve as a much needed reality check.

I disagree. I think you have to go for it. 3 Minutes left, down one score and a defense that couldn't get off the field. Sometimes you just have to go all in. no risk no gain.

Did somebody call the Colts the 2nd best team in the AFC...ha, ha, ha...what a joke.

4-2, soon to be 4-3 going into Houston after the bye week.

...stat for tonight - drops for the season 8, drops tonight 5.

You always equate being weak with wearing a dress? I know some pretty tough ladies, and men who do so... and would beg to differ.

I like how you count a loss before the game is played.

It indeed was a poor performance. Bad play calling choices and our defense looked like the worst in the league. The penalties that kept the chargers on the field on 3rd down I think hurt us the most.

Well, on to next game where we all have to hope the team bounces back and wins the next one...more important game next week than was this game.

A lot of different kinds of people... I don't discriminate. Your comment was a little sexiest sounding, man.

I was at the game. Drove 3 hours to San Diego to watch it. Some views from what i saw.

Chargers ran the ball ok, wasnt great, but when we needed a stop we couldnt get it.

They ran a ton of crossing routes to beat our man coverage. We played most of the night with a single high safety.

Drops!! Heyward Bey dropped a TD. There was no one behind him. Fleener dropped a few big play balls. The late INT should have been caught the play was right in front of me.

I didnt look at the TOP, but it couldnt have been a good stat with the new offense we run. Im just guessing San Diego had 36-38 mins.

Im OK with the last punt. But MAc hit a bad one. It went 35 yards. If he gets it 42-48, different story.

Sorry, Gandalf, but I don't do PC. Men are stronger than women, fact. Let's move on, shall we?

Just a temporary setback with their second loss tonight with the Chargers 19-9 win over our Colts  Surely the Colts as a team can and will perform better in each of the remaining games. Colts are flying back to Indianapolis, take a day or two off the practice field, then prepare for the Denver Broncos, and  return of Peyton Manning, at LOS on Sunday Night.

Colts play their second straight nationally televised game for NBC Sports Sunday Night Football. Other than tonight's loss, enjoy the rest of your week to all of the members here on the Colts Strong community fan forum, and GO COLTS!  ;)  :coltslogo:  :ribbon:  :colts:  :1colts:  :coltshorse:  :coltslogo:

Wow. I'll take brains over strength any day too... something you seem to lack on this issue, or you just trollin'. Either way I don't want to ruin the game day thread with such shenanigans.

Moving along.

Gandalf, look at every Olympic record set by men and women. It will clearly illustrate that men are faster, stronger, and bigger than women. It's okay to say and think so. It's not okay, however, to have the evidence and still think otherwise for the sake of not hurting someone else's feelings.

When I said that the Colts showed up to a fist fight in a dress, I did imply that they played like girls.

    • !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  THIS  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Thank you, Stiches!  Thank you!
    • I'm on the record that I think it would be shortsighted to spend any premium asset for non-long-term QB while there is a question about our QB position. We might need those picks to trade up in the draft for a QB Ballard and Reich love. Until we are certain one way or another in our long-term QB position we should not be trading those picks for players. And even then we should still be prudent in how we spend our picks. Multiple round 1 and round 2 picks for strong safety/slot CB is not my idea of prudent use of our picks.
    • I'll be attending, hoping to get there around 10
    • Chad Kelly by far.   He's one brush away from cleaning toilets in prison for the next few years of his life ala Ryan Leaf.
    • I have no doubt Elway is a better QB talent evaluator than people here...but vs. his peers? Osweiler, Siemian, Lynch...giving $25M gtd to Case Keenum...those moves collectively would seem to suggest his evaluation is not better than most...and maybe just bad (relatively speaking). Granted none of those are top 5 picks...but he did trade up in the 1st round to get Lynch and Osweiler was a 2nd round pick. I like Lock more than that anyone in that group...so we will see how that turns out.   As for Manning...there were several teams were interested...like nearly 1/3 of the league. At least 9 teams reached out to him (DEN, AZ, SEA, TEN, WAS, MIA, NYJ, PHI, SF)...and Manning narrowed it down and heard in-person pitches from 4 of them (DEN, AZ, MIA and TEN)...and ultimately chose DEN over AZ and TEN. It was a whole thing that went on for a few weeks.   Irsay did release Manning from his contract...but (IMO) either Manning (or likely both he and Irsay) engineered it as a possibility when Manning signed his contract the year before...which contained a poison pill that ultimately saw him get released.
