So conflicted on this.

true can only Pray  and wish him luck, at least he has had plenty of off time, not like going in after a few concussions within 2 months  like colts  cleared him to , but he passed the baseline tests and thats all that mattered

Now you can just pencil in another Colt we play this season along the tour of many. Sigh.

But, lets hope Austin even makes it to our game. Stay healthy man.

haha It kinda does feel like the Blue Horseshoe is facing former INDY players all season long now doesn't it? What will be the final shoe to drop? Tony Dungy gets back into coaching? Just Kidding!

One the 1 hand, I am glad to see Collie land with a top tier squad in San Fran vs say the dismal Raiders or Browns for instance. However, on the other hand, given how close the 49ers are in proximity to a Lombardi run, opposing teams will hit hard & do anything to knock them off their SB bound pedestal too & I sincerely hope that Austin doesn't  take another lights out concussion on the field either. What's the contract stipulate exactly? Are the 49ers removed from liability if Austin is injured? Collie sadly seemed pretty content to signing any waver that allowed him to play period.

His wife & family must be on pins & needles sweating bullets right now. I sure as hades would be if Austin was 1 of my family members anyway.

This is a smart move by both sides.

Collie goes to the best team in th NFL.

The 49ers get a highly talented WR who will start day 1.

Just needs to stay healthy. Kids a beast.

So your saying the 49er's are the best team in the NFL?  If so why did they loose the SB ?  :funny:   Wishing Collie well with his new team.

they signed the MVP of the playoffs in my opinion. I also think they are the most complete team on paper.

Well what looks good on paper may not be as good on the field.  I guess only time will tell. I'm not 100% sold on the 49er's. :)

The "BEST" team in the NFL rarely wins the SB.

the teams that are HOT and HEALTHY do..    JMO

Heck if the best team in the league won the SB every year Houston would have three rings...

  hehehe.e..

BUT, they don't.

I wish he would put his health as his #1 priority and retire.

Same with Peyton, he is risking so much when he is on that field...

I'm sure Collie's worries a ton about his health. But he also has to make a liviing to support himself and his family. Collie has two young sons if you didn't know. I bet over everything he puts them before himself. What happened to him was unfortunate but thats not to say he won't bounce back. He could still have a stellar career with some good luck.

Also, I'm not sure I understand the Peyton comment. Peytons neck has no more of a chance of being injured than any other player in the league. One of the main points of that surgery was that after it had been completed he wouldn't be any more vulnerable to injury than others. It was all just about his nerves healing.
