Interesting fact I discovered on the colts.com roster

Mr. Josh McNary weighs more than our Mr. Jerell Freeman.

So, could McNary be the ILB partner of Freeman? I think that's gonna be something I watch this pre-season

McNary as ILB, that is my impression.

I'm not to sure Andrew falls under the " elite" catagory yet .

I can't argue with that point, given his body of work.  I'm not sure when you can judge a QB elite.

I do know that if you ask any analyst to pick three QBs they would want to start a team with, Luck would be one of them.

@KBowenColts: Erik Walden on setting the edge: "It's just about heart...setting up a wall for the defense to allow the inside backers to make a play."

@KBowenColts: Dwayne Allen on Erik Walden: "He understands leverage and hand placement. He destroys tight ends. I'm definitely glad he's on our team."

Well Brent I'm in Anderson and it's still pretty wet so if I was a betting person I would bet that the open outside practice will also be moved inside. Just my thoughts on the TC.

I hope they exercise caution Susie!  No doubt the fields are wet...weather just like at my house 20 minutes away....:)

I've been less than impressed with Mishler's perspective and inability to communicate unfiltered what is really going on.

His write-ups at the end of the day have been decent, aside from the usual Stampede Blue bias. Much better content than his Twitter feed.

I know he's a real long shot, but I'm rooting for Rayford. I was listening to an interview he did and the kid loves football, he refuses to give up the dream. He's 27 so this may be his last shot.

Plus, a 6'7" LB has to be able to bat down balls, as well as kicks.

I knew he was tall but just seeing that dude out there was crazy. He towers over the other LBs and pretty much everyone other than the OL.

I think Kevin Bowen's tweet yesterday made it pretty clear he impressed the coaches in one on one drills.

To me, how can Mishler say this after one day anyway?  28 sacks at Army was not a fluke.

I think all Mishler is trying to say is that none of us should get too carried away based on one nice first day for McNary...

1st....   the kid played at Army...  and going from Army to the NFL is a big, big jump.

2nd...   the kid hasn't played in what, 3 or 4 years?    That's likely going to make the transition even harder...

3rd....   if the kid is indeed being moved from OLB to ILB that's another hurdle to clear, and a pretty big one for many LB's to try to make.

4th....   the speed jump and the ability to recognize is going to be very hard for McNary to absorb....   I'm absolutely pulling for him...    but just making to the PS would be a great accomplishment his first year.    If he somehow makes the 53,  that would be incredibly impressive!

I don't think the writer means any harm....   just a cautionary note...   at least,  that would be my read....

Lol apparently Allen has taken over 100 yoga classes this offseason to work on his flexibility.

Brilliant move by Allen, this should be required for every player. It's easy to make fun of, but man, is it useful. He needs to drag Khaled Holmes and Boyett in there while he's at it lol.

If the Moleman can handle being the youngest guy in a Yoga class by 30 years, there's no reason these players can't get over themselves and do it. Props to Allen for starting what hopefully becomes a trend

@andrewmishler: OC Pep Hamilton said Bradshaw's injury status does "not necessarily" affect any decisions at RB. Likes the mental work he's doing.

@andrewmishler: Hamilton on DHB: "He's fast. He has the potential to be an explosive playmaker and he's a pretty good run after the catch guy." (1/2)

@andrewmishler: Hamilton followed on DHB: "We would like his hands to be a little more consistent, but he's working at it."

@andrewmishler: Hamilton: "I'm excited about Griff (Whalen). He's having a good camp so far. He still has a ways to go, but were excited about Griff."

@andrewmishler: Hamilton on Fleener: "He's making plays that big-time NFL players tend to make."

@andrewmishler: To piggyback that @JimIrsay tweet, Pep Hamilton said the Colts are "a physical, downhill, running football team" today. Panic button?

those that don`t GET IT could panic

    • With Downs getting ready to comeback and the colts now seeming to have lots of weapons on the outside does anyone else think we could see a package where they push Michael Pittman inside to play some tight end on passing downs? This doesn’t seem like a huge downgrade in blocking over Granson and would be a definite speed and route running upgrade.
    • The explosive plays is one of the main reasons we didn't "control the TOP". All 4 of our TDs came after explosive plays - 3 on offense(2 huge passes to Pierce, 1 to Dulin), one on ST(or am I misremembering one of them?). That's why TOP doesn't tell the whole story. The biggest problem was that we couldn't stop Houston's run game, which is why they stayed on the field so long,,, they just ran on us all day long.
    • Which I found it confusing on why they want to keep 5 tight ends and they barely get schemed to get open.....should've just kept 3 and used the other 2 roster spots for other depth positions
    • Mixon is good but not having 7 yards a carry great....colts run defense made him look alot better than expected
    • An interesting (can't quite go as far as to say fun watch). Both teams made big plays, both teams made mistakes. Differences seemed to be they pulled out miracle plays, and the run game. We had none, they had more than some.   Getting lots of pressure on the QB is great, not so great if you don't get home, and it's from being too aggressive.
