I came across this article for last nights game and a few things were definitely impressive. We stopped J.J. Watt cold and it was definitely noted here. You also may be surprised who our top 5 graded players were this game (especially no1). I won't spoil it for you at all, here's the article so you can take a look at our grades.

As I watched the game, I noticed that Wilfork was on his butt a lot. When I hit the rewind button, Jack Mewhort was on top of that. I also believe The guards that started at the beginning of the season were terrible. Overall, great shuffle to the trenches

That's what shocked the hades out of me most...Wilfork just disappeared. I've never seen Vince stuffed like a thanksgiving turkey before. Beautiful job Jack. Fantastic work blocking for Gore too Allen. Keep it up man!

You should know better by now, all my post are unnecessary, .

I peed on Dwayne Allen's dog dude, come'on man!

That would make for a memorable forum signature M-432 if you ever felt like changing your Vontae Davis one just temporarily for say Christmas & New Years. You'd be on Santa's naughty list, but it's worth it.

Yeah I know, I'm sick & twisted man, but in a good way. LOL! Look at it this way, new members to this site would remember you & consider you unforgettable. Just joking!

All kidding aside, I admire regulars on here who routinely poke fun at themselves. You're a okay in my book M-432.

Allen and Fleener both done some great blocking. Under the circumstances this might have been Pep's best game plan he has made. To shut down Watt and then not have any turnovers was really nice to see. Hopefully Matt's play mentors Luck into taking exactly what the D gives. We have too many weapons to cover if they are used correctly. :lurk:

    • I think we are seeing growth from Ballard as a GM, which is what I would think everyone would hope for. He’s gone after free agents (even though they didn’t come here), he drafted a qb, put offers to move up in the 1st, and now drafted an edge that is actually productive instead of off upside. Hope it continues.
    • My bad, you’re right.  I don’t know who stats I was looking at last night lol.  Hennessy will do that. ;(   Well, Trey production might’ve been due to him being in a rotation over there in NO before he got to Cincy, with him being a third rounder.  But either way, Trey turned it on year 4.  So you’re right, I’ll give qwitty one more year.  Not saying qwitty is bad, but we do need more from that position.  And it seems Ballard and co agrees as this is his second attempt at trying to upgrade that position this off-season.   I agree with the pick, we can’t wait and hope for something when we have an opportunity to possibly upgrade at a premium position and one of the highest paying positions.  Due to the way the draft played out, We had the opportunity to pick the FIRST defensive player off the board, which also mean probably the BEST defensive player on the board (depending on how whoever looks at it).  We don’t know when we’ll have that opportunity if ever again.
    • Well said. For me the injury concern isn't the "right now" as much as it is "will it effect his longevity?" Unless I am forgetting someone, Manning is the only recollection I have of a similar sitch....Different position/age/etc. but he held up for like 3 or so years, before his skills diminished beyond effective......again I understand the differences but I don't think its known what the expectations are for any individual long term.....I hope its for a good long time.....but it does concern me, mostly because its not an injury procedure that has a lot of examples to draw from in terms of how it plays out long term.
    • Context is king. Thank you for sharing that. I'll look up some more information on his situation, or at least I will if my dang eye every slows down on swelling!
