How to beat Peyton Manning

Its not rocket science....same thing that you need to do to most offenses...get pressure with 4...drop your backers underneath...play physical bump coverage at the line of scrimmage that slows down routes and disrupts the timing....then stick to them. It isn't good enough to disrupt at the line...you have to be able to cover down the field as well. If you make Peyton hold the ball longer than he wants and get in his face just like Tom your going to have a much much better chance at winning. You let Peyton or Tom rip those short little passes in rythem with little pressure...they will eat you alive. We actually have the secondary to do this...which is why New England runs it down our throat...they have a good offensive line that keeps us off Brady better than Mannings too. Combine that with Gronk who we have no answer for and that is why NE has success where Denver its more of a toss up. We don't have many weaknesses in our secondary...its pretty good..so we there aren't many offenses that we struggle against....mostly just balanced offenses that can run and have a good qb. Hopefuly we continue to add to that defense this offseason because there aren't many offenses in the AFC that explosive we can't handle.

Its mostly about personnel and scheme. We happen to be one of those few teams that have it. Not many teams in the league have that ability. That said if we don't get pressure he can still beat us....see week 1 as an example.

"It's mostly about personnel and scheme."

Hit the proverbial nail right on the head, brother!

Meh...Colts already have Peyton figured out pretty good...for real.  They need to be focusing on how to beat Tom Brady.

And, "The Emperor"! (BB) et.al New England schematics. Do "that" and other teams incorporating this type of NFL football? Then you have something. It's called, "Championships!" Really love the way the Colts organization is targeting this philosophy. It works. It's here to stay and it don't take prisoners.

Just couldn't have a sense of humor could you? Did you even bother to look at the video?

Yeah I did and I found it humorous.  But the repeated humiliating beat downs from New England keep me from smiling about it for too long.    Peyton is close to done in my opinion.  Pats are the mountain left to climb.
