Balls are getting knocked down and contested because he is throwing late on his decisions. The ball Ap dropped on his out route was dropped because it was thrown behind him. This is wayyy bigger than drops . Teams always have great coverage when you throw late and they will always get contested when you throw late and stare down receivers. What was very troubling is that he almost threw a pick on the play before his pick, but he didn't learn anything. He changed the play to the pass to JD that did get picked. That means you have problems upstairs combined with your bad physical play. Big problem. Not going out of bounds is an upstairs problem. Talking about how great he is is an upstairs problem...Not at least getting the ball in the air on the last play..............ect........
Great write up. I cant see every game but only highlights and so forth but enjoy a respective comment as your is.
No Downs ball was fine so you assessment is inaccurate.
^ This When he was defending his passing ability, he talked about how he could run faster than just about anybody…except maybe Lamar…it just reminded me of something a kid might say on a schoolyard.
I think in some ways, Anthony is mature beyond his years, but in some ways, he shows every bit of his young age. Like the fact he didn’t think anybody should be able to tackle him one-on-one. He’s got to know this is the NFL and as gifted as he is, there’s some guys playing that can tackle him. Maybe not a whole lot but he can’t take it for granted that he’s the only gifted athlete on the field.
So we have to not only wait for our QB to develop as a player but to realize as a young man, talent is only going to get him so far. There’s a WHOLE LOT of talented guys on the other side of the field.
Lastly, I’m disappointed in Shane, the Oline and the receivers for a lackluster performance…..oh and by the way, has anybody seen Drew Ogletree or the TEs in general??
