IMO Mitchell just surpassed Arnold as CB1. Usually a 40 time is not enough to single-handedly influence the draft position that much, but for corners it's probably the most important test.

I don’t want a CB in the first, but beyond that I’m also torn on Arnold. Watching the drills he’s very smooth, but that 4.5 40 really takes him out of CB1 consideration for me.

Did he really?    Seriously?    I realize he’s young and even older people have said similar comments,  but to think he said it in a combine interview.   I doubt that’s helpful.    Dear God.

Man, Kamren Kinchens has been considered Safety1 by some this draft, but he’s been really disappointing in these drills. Ran 4.65. 
 

Kitan Oladapo just ran 4.58

I'm not worried about Arnold's speed, with our defense you don't have to have that elite speed, because you usually have the safety over top. Brents last year ran a 4.53.

Julius Brents ran 4.5 and I think he was drafted to be CB1.

Brents was also 6’2” though which is freaky for that height. At 5’11” he should be a bit faster than that. I reckon he’ll improve that at his pro day though. His tape is really good and his football character is unbelievable.

Vikings need a CB, and with three of them available in that range, Mitchell could be the first off the board. Utah knows how to produce safeties. Touched on this long ago and Cole Bishop standing out again today.  Could the Colts double down with dual Utah safety combination of Blackmon and Bishop?

I’m with you on Mitchell or bust at 15. I like Arnold and he may end up being the better player but Mitchell is the perfect fit for us. If he’s not there pass on CB in the first round and go get BTJ. We can get Can Hart on Day 2:

 

Waiting for the 3-come but those are JuJu Brent’s numbers, and he’s also like the only corner who clamped MHJ. BTJ and then Hart round 2 is a great 1-2 punch.
