Are Dolphins’ recent moves hinting at Jonathan Taylor trade?

The Miami Dolphins are believed to be negotiating with the Indianapolis Colts for Jonathan Taylor. Miami’s recent moves seem like it’s preparing for the RB.

It’s been said over and over again but rings true:

No team wants to spend capital when they can just wait for FA and or the draft.

I don’t see Taylor being traded unless it’s mid-season and a team has had a devastating injury to their starting RB. Why make a rash decision?

Wonder if Colts will franchise tag him so they can get something out of trading him after the season is over. Although there is always the compensatory pick.

Now I am more interested if they keep him on pup. I doubt hes getting traded.

I kind of feel like they will remove him from PUP if they still want to trade him. Because staying on PUP lowers his value because he for sure misses 4 games.

I believe he’ll be missing the 1st 4 weeks. My friend has gotta be sweating bullets after drafting him in fantasy lmao…

Yes, they should and probably will.

The 4 p.m. deadline is meaningless.  They will either leave him on PUP or activate him, that was the only decision that was going to be made by 4 p.m. for a while now.

Personally, I think he's coming of PUP, gotta be healthy at some point, might as well start showing his health and ability ...if he wants, he can think of it as marketing himself to potential buyers ...lol

Just getting to where I can check some stuff out.

Colts have a lot of leverage right now. Even more so with the "deadline" approaching.

We can look at Taylor and say:

Colts to Taylor (made up scenario)

"deadline is approaching, might run past it. But if we keep you on the PUP, nothing can happen for (4) more weeks. So it's in the best interest of everyone that you pass this physical and go on active roster.'
