Eh then how’s the accuracy comments come into play here? They took the least accurate of all QBs

Accuracy in today's NFL is more fixable than lack of size or lack of athleticism or lack of pocket presence.

Well it seems like no one hurt themselves more in the predraft process than Carter as he went from a possible number one overall pick (when the Bears had the pick) to maybe slipping out of the top 10

Haha I’m not so sure about that

Plus he’s apparently been working with some really good QB coach recently.

But yeah, glad to have that pocket awareness/escabaility.

Even if Richardson is a complete and total bust the likes of which we’ve never seen before or we’ll ever see again what’s the worst thing that happens? We find ourselves in position to draft Arch Manning in a couple years?

Please, no, not that! Anything but that!

This is all chips in. It was the only move for all involved. I love it.

I'm pumped. In a conference with Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, Herbert, Jackson, Lawrence, etc, you have to take the big swing at this type of upside.

If he busts, then you just have to take another swing, but this was a risk worth taking.

Damn right! Don't force it.... but IF he's ready to run a functioning offense without developing bad habits... let him play! He needs to play and gain experience much more than he needs to watch others play.

I hope Will Levis has some bananas in the green room.  If Tenn doesn't take him he is gonna sit a while

His bananas might get brown spots by the time he gets drafted... I hear brown spots peels are healthy for you...

Arch can’t even start at QB… in college. Did it go to his head

Overall, good pick…I agree with swinging big there especially at QB.

Steichen has shown he can develop young qbs.

I am certain this was ultimately his call.

If he can develop consistently playing/winning in the pocket (and he has every tool to do so) he can be really, really good.

I'm sure it was a collaboration

I’m good with it even though I think he’s very inexperienced and raw.

simply cause we didn’t trade up to do it

It took them 20 seconds to make the pick. They've been on him for a year.

    • Hey Everyone,   So, I just caught wind of Goodson's apology letter after dropping that short pass from Minshew against the Texans last season. Here's my humorous take on the situation:   "Dear Fans, Coaches, Teammates, and Supporters,   I'm writing to apologize for buttering up that short pass in the most critical moment against the Texans. Look, I know I'm the backup running back, but hey, I'm usually good for catching those short throws - emphasis on 'usually'. My bad for turning a routine play into a blooper reel moment.   To my teammates, sorry for making you wonder if I was secretly playing for the other team. Next time, I'll practice catching more than just footballs thrown by the water boy.   To the coaches, maybe let's reconsider throwing short passes to guys who have hands that are more slippery than a greased pig at the county fair. Just a suggestion.   And to the fans, thanks for turning my drop into a meme. I promise to work on my catching skills so I can make highlights, not lowlights, next season.   Sincerely, Goodson (aka the running back who should stick to running)"   Okay, maybe I exaggerated a bit, but you get the gist. Let's hope Goodson has been hitting those catching drills hard this offseason!
    • I remember looking for highlights of TJ after we drafted him.  I kept finding videos of him following OJ Howard into the endzone.  Not sure if Howard was his responsibility, but it didn't paint a promising picture.
    • Ballard,   So, yeah, about that whole "bust" thing—I guess the cat's out of the bag. Turns out, I'm more of a popcorn fart than a thunderclap. My bad.   When you drafted me, I thought I was gonna be the Colts' next big thing. You know, sacking quarterbacks, making highlight reels, maybe even getting my face on a cereal box someday. But instead, I've been about as useful as a screen door on a submarine.   I've watched the tapes, Coach. I've seen the memes. They're comparing my NFL career to a hangover—starts off with high hopes, and ends with regret and a lot of Gatorade. And honestly, I get it. I'm like that guest who shows up to a party uninvited and ends up eating all the chips.   So, here's my mea culpa. I apologize for not living up to the hype. For every missed tackle, every missed sack, and that one time I accidentally tackled our own quarterback in practice (sorry, Philip). I'm like the guy who brings a guitar to a party and insists on playing Wonderwall—I'm annoying and not nearly as good as I think I am.   But hey, I'm not giving up. I'm hitting the gym, studying film (mostly bloopers at this point), and practicing my touchdown dance for when pigs finally fly. I promise to work harder and maybe, just maybe, I'll redeem myself and earn my place in the Hall of Mediocrity.   Thanks for believing in me, and letting me live my dream for 4 years straight whilst simultaneously producing nothing for your team. I'll make you proud yet, even if it's just by being the team's MVP of Bust Central, and we aren't talking bronze heads.    Sincerely, Ben "The Bust" Banagous (Not sponsored by Gatorade yet, but a guy can dream)
    • if you scream MODS! in anything I write,  I might get in trouble. hahaha
    • MODS!  This should be enough to force you to bring back the laughing emoji option!   Funny stuff!
