Well good news that they are getting Rhodes back and everyone else is going to at least give it a good minus Smith and the huge question mark on Wentz.

Yup. Super happy to get Rhodes back. But this is a game I really wasn't worried about out DBs all that much. Tannehill isn't a big deep ball guy (although I'm sure they've seen our film and will certainly try to take our Ss or NB deep).... I'm more afraid of our LB coverage as Tannehill torches the seam.

Glasgow was just put on IR so will be out for awhile, Woods was brought up thinking he may play more than Stallworth and Chris Williams in this one to try and slow down the run game

Woods is only a temp elevation right?

We still have a perm roster hole open with Glassgow on IR

I believe Woods was signed to take that spot on the roster. I think he may be up for the long haul and think Chris Williams (DT) may be cut at some point. If that occurs I expect Jefferson will get that roster spot.

I remember saying the same thing either here or on Reddit and apparently Tannehill is statistically one of the most accurate and efficient deep ball passers in the league. I don't think he typically does it often, but when he does, its on the money.

Edit:

This is from the 2019 season:

https://touchdownwire.usatoday.com/2020/05/18/the-nfls-best-deep-ball-quarterbacks/9/

He ended up rated #12 for 2020:

He is similar to Eason last year. High %, low attempts. It's just not what TN has done a lot.

You have to think they'll try tomorrow though based on our film from the last 2 weeks.

If you're a fan of Football Outsiders stats, take a look. He's a terror to the seam. Hoping our LBs aren't toast.

Checked the transactions on the site, and uses the term elevation which has been limited to the temp promotes. Couldn't find anything saying he was signed to the 53. IDK?

So... from today...

Fisher - noticeably limping

Carson - taped but never left

Nelson - heavily taped, ruled out. ankle not foot

Willis - groin. Wasn't really playing well and had the PI. Not sure when the groin happened.

Paye - ruled out early with hammy

Rock - left with ankle

Did I miss anything?

Fisher was limping? Wow this is bad. I think we are at the point of putting Wentz on IR since this season is lost.

The radio pointed it out a few times. Didn't get a great view of him on TV, but he did look gimpy. Not sure if he's in a pain-management situation, or did something new.

You've been saying that for weeks. Unless Wentz is hurt enough to where he won't be able to play for multiple weeks, there's no way he goes on IR. Our entire starting OL could get injured and they wouldn't put Wentz on IR just to keep him from getting hurt. Teams look for the best chance of winning and placing Wentz on IR when his own health doesn't warrant it is absurd.

Rhodes left the game but did comeback in.

Leonard is clearly not 100% either and is just getting it out.

Chesley elevated over Tell, wow that says something.

The year off set him back.

Just not sure he can rebound.

Not saying he was ever great, but flashed at times in limited snaps.

May be time to move on, or potentially move him back to S where we need help too.

Agree on all accounts, Ive wanted the move back to Safety for awhile for him but it may be a lost cause.

Yup. IDK either.

The bag on him was that he was too thin, and lacked physicality to play S.

Which makes sense with the move to CB. But IMO, we need a coverage FS at times.

Not saying full time, but rotational or situational.

We certainly lack coverage skills right now in the S department.

    • Wilson IMO is too much like Downs. Not sure we would want to pick another predominantly slot player.    IMO the players that make the most sense at WR are - AD Mitchell, Ladd(he again plays a bit of slot, but he's also a bit more versatile, he's played about 75% of his snaps in other alignments), Troy Franklin - he can be a Z for us... Jermaine Burton?!? if he's cleared character-wise?? I like Malik Washington but he's predominantly slot too so not sure he's a fit here.    BTW... this guy is projected as a day 3 pick... but because of the general lack of that type of player after Troy Franklin(fast Z) I can see him being pushed up... maybe get drafted mid-late R3 - he's like budget version of Xavier Worthy- Anthony Gould.    Maybe DeVontez Walker? Although he had such a bad Senior Bowl, I'd be surprised if Ballard goes for him.
    • While having 6 QBs go in the first 12 picks pushed some talent towards us... it probably also contributed to it being extremely hard for Ballard to trade up. It's just way too hard to make teams move away from QBs or to outbid teams who are bidding for their QB. I think 5 was probably our best chance for trade up... Arizona reportedly completely shut down any offers - they just wanted MHJ and they took him. 5 was probably our best chance, but it probably was way too steep of a price. Giants probably didn't want to move from Nabers, division rival Titans not great trade partner, Atlanta... wanted a freaking QB for some reason?!?!? Then Bears got their dream player drop to them and IMO that was probably the last chance we had.
    • I wouldn't mind if we traded up early if we picked one of these three players: 1. Texas A&M LB Edgerrin Cooper 2. Iowa CB Cooper DeJean 3. Texas WR Adonai Mitchell
    • Round 2/3 Wishlist 1. Texas A&M LB Edgerrin Cooper 2. Iowa CB Cooper DeJean 3. Texas WR Adonai Mitchell 4. Rutgers CB Max Melton 5. Michigan LB Junior Colson 6. Western Kentucky WR Malachi Corley 7. Minnesota S Tyler Nubin 8. Iowa State CB T.J. Tampa 9.Oregon WR Troy Franklin
