What Is The First Thing You Are Going To Do When Andrew Luck Gets Drafted?

Well I work Friday nights so probably keep working and wait for the draft to really start with the Browns at number four since the first three picks look locked in. Frankly I think taking Luck is just going to be a formality at this point. The real excited will start the next day unless we make some moves which is possiable.

None the less I'll be happy we are talking about someone coming to the Colts rather than seeing a player go. It will be nice to start talking about the future again and looking forward to what can be rather than always having to look back and go oh I am sad it's over.

I think the first round is on Thursday night.

Im visiting in Maryland from California til May so I will probably drive 3-4 hours to New York for the draft because my family is going there for the Redskins. Too bad it would be dumb to wear my Peyton Manning jersey but I have a Colts sweater.

But anyways the first thing im going to do is buy every single Andrew Luck rookie card when it comes out. I tried buying Peyton's popular rookie one but its around $1,500 for the SP Authentic one.

Also Andrew Luck's jersey but hopefully he doesnt turn out to be a bust. Which i doubt because he was trained by Peyton Manning. And his father was a not so great quarterback in the NFL just like Archie Manning so usually the son's turn out better.

Manning trained Luck? I know he attended his qb camp as did many other young qb's.

Unless we trade up or if the Titans give us their first rounder for Freeney.

Freeney is very expensive... but it's just for ONE year. I think Indy will pull at least a second out of him. In fact I'm sure of it, DF is only due one year...... at very high $$$ but someone willl bite.

Yep I only brought up the Titans as a first rounder because I have seen that reported that the Titans are at least thinking about it. I think in the case of Freeney it makes sense to hang on to him till the draft. If no one bites at the draft then you release him. No need to rush his release because you can probably get something of value and if teams need a pass rusher and don't get the guy they want in the draft Freeney's value to them goes up. With that said if we get a first round for him now I think you do it.

At least they hope it's a laser rocket arm. I saw PFT has a report that Manning's arm strength is still not good despite the video that came out.

I think Peyton's health other than his neck is anything but a sure thing right now and here are the things that lead me to think that:

1. He said himself he still has work to do in regards to his health

2. If he was healthy I think he would be able to do better than four passes on video shot on a camera that is extremely grainy and if you don't the Manning camp had something to do with that video coming out you are kidding yourself.

3. He doesn't want a physical to be a part of a new deal with a new team.

4. He wont throw for new teams before they sign him (although the CBA might be preventing that not sure how that translates since he's not on a team anymore.)

I want Peyton Manning to get healthy just because I want him as a human being to be healthy if for no other reason so I am not cheering for him not to be healthy but just based on those reports I think there are reasons to be conerned about his health if you are another team.

I've also heard/read reports that he's been overthrowing his receivers at his work outs.

I just hope if he plays that he doesn't get hurt and that he's not just a sad shadow of himself that is just playing because he wants to play. That will be extremely hard to watch.

I'll be the happiest Colts fan in Indy apparently. Amazing how so many COLTS fans aren't excited about Luck joining our team. This kids going to be our QB, and an elite one at that, for the next 14-17 years. I can't wait to evaluate him as a rookie. Evaluate all the young, promising talent Grigson will bring in. Bright days for future of our team.

Watch the draft from behind the scenes. Maybe get a quick interview with him, but I doubt he stops and talks to a no name reporter from Canada. I will try to get interviews with the middle round picks from the Colts. So to answer your question, continue having a great time!

It would be horrible to watch him struggle immensely. I can understand if he's rusty the first couple of games, but if he gets hurt cause he hasn't been hit in a while or he comes out and throws 5INT's his first game back. The media will have a field day. I wish the best for him.

i wont feel any different. i mean im 95% sure that the colts are selecting luck. i would imagine colts fans are more excited about the 2nd round pick, i know i am! Good luck to andrew luck. Hopefully luck is going to be worth all the pain and grief he has caused the colts nation so far.

LOLReally,Why!

I like him better. Barkley could have rivaled Luck for the #1 pick some people thought before he said he was going back to USC. Even though Luck is more NFL ready. More NFL ready to me just means he is closer to peaking so you could argue Matt can progress even farther than Luck in the later years of their career. Plus Luck seems to throw a ball that floats more compared to other QBs. It may just be the way it comes across on a TV, as I said before, but no other ball seems that way to me.
