TJ Green for PR/KR?

Hines has showed that he cannot handle PR duties without fumbling.  And I know Rogers has been promoted to starting PR.  But have the Colts ever considered trying out TJ Green for the job?  He hasn't been able to find much of a niche as a safety, but he's got speed to burn, and is always the first gunner downfield on the PR coverage unit.  Could we put his 4.34 speed to use as a return guy?  Have the Colts tried this before?

He has looked completely lost for 3 preseasons, and 2 seasons

 

There are too many people on the bubble, people that are contributing,  to give this guy ANOTHER chance

If PR/KR means he'll be working the Produce Register at Kroger, then I'm all for it.

Just because a guy is fast doesn't mean he'd automatically be able to catch punts and have the vision to make people miss while returning. If he isn't improving as a safety we just need to let him go.

I thought you were going to suggest TRADING Green for a PR/KR, which to me seems like a more likely scenario.

Yeah, I rooted for this kid, but he's been invisible this preseason.  Odum on the other hand has been very visible making plays on special teams and on defense. I think TJ Green is on the waiver wire about a week from now.

It’s worth experimenting with. Green should be a pro bowl STs player with his measureables.
