We agree this team has to finish games. The fact that they have had leads over some decent teams, means they are capable of beating them. So many of the problems that caused them to lose can be corrected. They are playing better than they did at the beginning of the year. The Division is lost but they can make it as a wild card. If they do, Pagano and staff deserve another year IMO.

Look at Cleveland. What a joke and they have had an amazing array of draft picks. Nearly all of the high ones blown. They mean nothing without talent in the GM's office. Ballard is a talent. The Colts need to grind and win what games they can. 6-10 is a likely scenario and that gets you both a good pick and momentum heading into 2018. Which, with Luck back and new coaching, could prove to be a big turnaround season. Tanking is a losing mentality utilized by perpetual losers. No thanks. Some people want to lose out because Ballard has a good eye for talent and let’s say we get a high pick. Ballard could get BPA and a player that fits. Kind of like Hooker. Coltsman1788
In typical Pagano fashion, the Colts will probably go on a desperate streak to mediocrity...winning enough games to finish close to .500 and jacking up their positioning for the upcoming draft. Hopefully, Irsay won't be fooled again into retaining Pagano. Ballard deserves better.

I thought that was going to be how it played out as soon as the Colts started with their shady ways of concealing info about his status/progress. Nothing is certain of course but I feel Luck will return under center for us next season. As you say we will all have to wait and see how it plays out. That’s on you, you already know it’s a lost season. Just like that, we already lost yet another game in which we had a second half lead. I don’t see the logic in wanting a bad team to overachieve when that only hinders draft position. Early draft picks are 100% successful but having an early draft pick is always better than having a late draft pick, ESPECIALLY for a bad team.
