Playoff Chances

We have to rely on Jacks to beat the Titans LOL and the Texans lose their last 2 and we win out. If that happens I am playing the lottery. We will finish 8-8 again, probably lose to Oakland and beat stinky Jacks. Hard to ever imagine us finishing less than 8-8 with Luck at QB playing all season and that is where we will be, having said that we wont see 11-5's again for a while until we build a better Defense and get a RB who can at least get you 100 Yards 5 or 6 times a season. By the way Irsay probably wont fire Chuck now, so much for that talk. Only good news is, Titans will probably win the Division instead of the Texans which if I had my choice, I would root for them over the Texans. We have the Titans number for some reason so hopefully that carries over to next season. Texans are just a dumpster at QB and got lucky today, they got lucky against us in the game at Houston as well. Brock gets benched for Tom Savage LOL.

Isn't it sad that just a few years ago Tenn was hot garbage with guys like Hasselbeck and Mettenberg/clipboard Jesus at QB and have over taken us now for the division?

They sure rebuilt quicker then we retooled...

Wait, do you honestly feel that RB has been a problem?  From my viewpoint, RB has been one of the few bright spots this season.

They did it right. Built a better defense and made sure to focus on the offensive line in both the draft and free agency.

That's why it's a travesty we're in the spot we are.

Grigs and Pags have definitely let us down to put it nicely.

Gore is solid but he's old, I like Frank but we need a RB that Defenses have to respect every week. 5 years ago Frank could do that, now he plays Good about every 2 or 3 games.

This is what happens to teams who can't handle their own business

It's funny when people say we didn't handle our own business like we're so much better than the other teams in the division.

I say we played just like we were supposed to.

Somewhat, they did blow a 16 point lead @ Houston which was just a huge blow.  Knowing that this team lost to Houston twice is pretty demoralizing, lol.  Houston is a pretty bad team.

They have won 11 straight division games. What does that make us?

Solid win today though at least.

Yeah, I can't rain on this parade.  The Vikings are not the train wreck that the Jets are.  I didn't see this one coming.  All I heard about all week was how monstrous the Vikings' pass rush was and how Luck was going to get pounded all game.  I wasn't expecting the Colts to just dominate this game.  A really good win.  Unfortunately, it most likely too little, too late at this point.

Yeah I was worried, in particular about Luck taking a beating but man the team played really well today.  I do agree unfortunately a little to late though most likely.  The Oakland game will be fun though maybe the Colts can rain on their parade haha .

    • Hey Everyone,   So, I just caught wind of Goodson's apology letter after dropping that short pass from Minshew against the Texans last season. Here's my humorous take on the situation:   "Dear Fans, Coaches, Teammates, and Supporters,   I'm writing to apologize for buttering up that short pass in the most critical moment against the Texans. Look, I know I'm the backup running back, but hey, I'm usually good for catching those short throws - emphasis on 'usually'. My bad for turning a routine play into a blooper reel moment.   To my teammates, sorry for making you wonder if I was secretly playing for the other team. Next time, I'll practice catching more than just footballs thrown by the water boy.   To the coaches, maybe let's reconsider throwing short passes to guys who have hands that are more slippery than a greased pig at the county fair. Just a suggestion.   And to the fans, thanks for turning my drop into a meme. I promise to work on my catching skills so I can make highlights, not lowlights, next season.   Sincerely, Goodson (aka the running back who should stick to running)"   Okay, maybe I exaggerated a bit, but you get the gist. Let's hope Goodson has been hitting those catching drills hard this offseason!
    • I remember looking for highlights of TJ after we drafted him.  I kept finding videos of him following OJ Howard into the endzone.  Not sure if Howard was his responsibility, but it didn't paint a promising picture.
    • Ballard,   So, yeah, about that whole "bust" thing—I guess the cat's out of the bag. Turns out, I'm more of a popcorn fart than a thunderclap. My bad.   When you drafted me, I thought I was gonna be the Colts' next big thing. You know, sacking quarterbacks, making highlight reels, maybe even getting my face on a cereal box someday. But instead, I've been about as useful as a screen door on a submarine.   I've watched the tapes, Coach. I've seen the memes. They're comparing my NFL career to a hangover—starts off with high hopes, and ends with regret and a lot of Gatorade. And honestly, I get it. I'm like that guest who shows up to a party uninvited and ends up eating all the chips.   So, here's my mea culpa. I apologize for not living up to the hype. For every missed tackle, every missed sack, and that one time I accidentally tackled our own quarterback in practice (sorry, Philip). I'm like the guy who brings a guitar to a party and insists on playing Wonderwall—I'm annoying and not nearly as good as I think I am.   But hey, I'm not giving up. I'm hitting the gym, studying film (mostly bloopers at this point), and practicing my touchdown dance for when pigs finally fly. I promise to work harder and maybe, just maybe, I'll redeem myself and earn my place in the Hall of Mediocrity.   Thanks for believing in me, and letting me live my dream for 4 years straight whilst simultaneously producing nothing for your team. I'll make you proud yet, even if it's just by being the team's MVP of Bust Central, and we aren't talking bronze heads.    Sincerely, Ben "The Bust" Banagous (Not sponsored by Gatorade yet, but a guy can dream)
    • if you scream MODS! in anything I write,  I might get in trouble. hahaha
    • MODS!  This should be enough to force you to bring back the laughing emoji option!   Funny stuff!
