Is this now like a Red Sox curse thing?

Do we need to bury DA at the Devil's crossroad after midnight? I think you'd have plenty of willing volunteers from here

I don't know I heard if you stare into DA's eyes, one turns to stone.  You might want to be careful attempting to bury him at Devil's Crossroad.

Thats a gambler's folly though. the fact is that we did score that many points and there's 0 reason why we can't score another 21 points this half. Not complaining but just pointing out an interesting thing.

Nor is there any reason why we should score another 21 points...

It's not a really a gamblers folly at all. Gamblers folly would be expecting previous independent trials to affect future trials. A series of football plays aren't independent trials necessarily.

I'm actually supporting your point more by pointing that out.

I agree that we can score another 21, but using that same logic, since we scored a TD on the first drive of the game, we can score a TD on every drive of every game.  You gotta be realistic with what you expect

The folley/fallacy is Superman's stating that most teams don't score 42 points in a game and thus we probably won't score another 21 this half...

When Allen dropped the pass and Vinatieri missed the FG, you knew it was going to happen.  This team, under Chuck, is absolutely incapable of playing a complete game.  Hell, they even tried to give the game back to us with the fake punt, but we wouldn't take it .

I'm not saying that at all. I'm saying the opposite though. Say we average 28 points a game, right? Well just because we scored 21 in the first half doesn't mean we're only going to score 7 this half. You'd like to see one of those 40 point games that balance out the Crap we pulled against the Chiefs

Yes, but teams don't usually put up 40+ points in a game, so it doesn't make sense to expect it, even if we had a great start

    • If they end up 5-11-1 or something, I wouldn't put it past him. I can't imagine it will help an actual HC search to have a GM on the hot seat anyways. Irsay could give Ballard a vote of confidence, but I doubt HC candidates would buy it. And they would know that Ballard could be gone within a year, which would put their job security in jeopardy.   Ballard out of the picture allows the Colts to go in a new direction without limitations.   But, in this fanciful hypothetical, Irsay won't have to because Ballard will step down (ala his mentor, John Dorsey) to pursue other opportunities.   But this is truly just conjecture. There still has to actually be a HC search.
    • @lincolndefan, I will copy you on this as well. I have been fine health wise for the most part but like Crazy, my sense of taste and smell comes and goes. It was never like that before I got my shots. I get it, I am not a super hero or anything but I rarely get sick and have never lost my sense of smell or taste up until a few months ago. It has me worried, I am tired a lot too. I just went to BW3's and got some Blazin Wings, almost the hottest stuff in the world. I could taste that but not much. I want to see if it clears me up. -911 Hooters Wings will be next
    • My theory on Jim and Jim is that Jim Harbaugh was picked by Bob Irsay under Tobin and Jim Irsay was never a fan of Harbaugh.  Tobin said JH's passion for winning was second to none and only equaled by Walter Payton or something to that effect.   When JI took the reigns and hired Polian, Harbaugh was gone  (of course this was mostly because of Manning but i just feel it didn't sit well with JH even though he was quoted as saying he would draft manning or leaf if he was in charge) I know JI put JH in the ring of Honor but i believe that was only because of fan pressure. This meeting may be to mend fences and see if they can work together.  I hope so.  I would love to have JH as the HC.
    • People still are enthralled with the idea of moving Smith to guard after all of these years playing RT.  And he’s done very well there.  Makes no sense to me.  He made the switch successfully.  If it isn’t broke don’t fix it.  Could easily have two issues instead of one.
    • Yeah that's what I figured after others told me here it didn't get flexed. They want America's team to smash the down and out team. Unfortunately that's us right now..
